Not really sure how I feel about this method. It seems like it would only alienate those who wore the blue rather than motivate. I trust CBJ and staff to implement procedures that work and this very well may...still seems unnecissarily demeaning to me...JMO
Interesting. What colors are the coaches going to wear after getting outrecruited by Vanderbilt and Ole Miss?
Urban Meyer, when he first went to Florida, took the Gator logo off the players helmets / shirts and made them "earn" the right to wear it. I remember the thought process being to make the players understand it was a not just a right to wear the logo. I had actually hoped CBJ would do something like this... Perhaps making them earn the power t. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
Or the slackers can wear the colors of our rivals.
Nobody wants to be on team black and gold!
First off, do your homework Chief- Vols were essentially even with Vandy on Rivals due to #s signed and ahead of the west end pansies on 247 Composite. As far as Ole Miss, I guess they can wear the same damn color as about 95% of the rest of the country who got out recruited by the rebels. Go back to hitting your bong now.
Rivals? Black and gold?
The only rivalry color that should be used to denigrate is crimson.
They need to be the Athens to our Sparta. If we can play on their level---and win---that would be the happiest moment of my life.
I'm not blowing Bama, because **** them---but my dream would be to see UT beat #1 Alabama in Neyland. I went to graduate school at South Carolina---and the Cocks did it for me while I was there. There is a video of me at the end of the game saying: "As a Volunteer---this makes me so happy." I was wearing garnet and black of course, but I was also at the UT/USC game this year wearing my orange and my cowboy hat.

You do know that in 31 days, we basically secured 13 of 18 commits and flipped 8 kids that were committed elsewhere, right? ok....lol....good. I was hoping you were paying attention and just blurting out the backend.
Have a great day man!
Shano out!

Jones was hired on December 7th. Signing Day was February 6th. That's alot more than 31 days. Look at how other classes improved over that span of time. Look at how much the Ole Miss class improved. Look at what Malzahn did.
We flipped recruits? From where? East Carolina and Syracuse? What were their rankings? 3 stars?
I would love to get behind Jones and all his coach talk, and I was behind him until the results showed otherwise. Signing day was a dismal failure. Not only can't he make up ground on the likes of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, but now we're getting our a$$ whipped by Ole Miss. This is not progress. And I don't know whether to laugh or cry at those of you who say "hey we were practically even with Vanderbilt", as if that were some source of pride.
I'm glad you guys are convinced by what Jones says. I would prefer to see some kind of evidence of progress.
More proof you have no idea what you're talking about. There were only 31 recruiting days during that time period. The rest of the days during that period was DEAD TIME.
