Interesting Statistics

Funny you say that, it's actually the direct opposite. College graduates vote democrat by an average margin of 70%-30%, and make more money on average.

The University of Tennessee which would probably be considered fairly conservative, is still a democratic majority.

RECENT college graduates and grad students in the non income generating grad programs vote democrat by a large margin. you'll find things change when you actually work for a living.

could you break that down by major please? and also please provide evidence of this, otherwise you are just rambler.

I find it hilarious that people can be so against liberals/democrats yet they go and cheer for their college of choice. Common sense would tell me that 99% of UT's athletes are huge Obama supporters. Not to mention the coaches and students you support.

Fact is, the majority of professors, students, and athletes are all democrats. Lol.

This statement doesn't make much sense and leads me to believe that this might be a poll taken from recent college graduates. I know from experience that young people are very likely to identify with democrats and quite frequently identify with the republican party later in life after living on their own and starting families.

I can go with this, after you start to make money and realize the gov't is @$$ raping you, you start to vote republican.

:)

I've held a job since I was 16. **** off.

unbelievable - and dems call republicans racist

Here is a list of the smartest states (the formula includes average IQ, % of population with college degrees, and % of population with high school diplomas)

This list goes from smartest to dumbest. I've color coded them as to how they voted in '08.

Blue = Democrat
Red = Republican

1.) Vermont
2.) Massachusetts
3.) Connecticut
4.) New Jersey
5.) Maine

I'll go out on a limb here and say that the people who did this research were from New England.

For every non factual post you make I will bring up one that says 99% of them are Republican and I'll actually have a source.

Release the hatred from your heart......

There is a link between intelligence and grad school since admission to grad school is based on intelligence assessing measures.

It's a skewed sample. You have to be intelligent to do well in grad school but not going to grad school says nothing about one's intelligence.

For some reason, my spider sense is telling me that Coach Dooley is not a lib

yeah working at starbucks and paying 10% in taxes is really the type of life experience that can make one make informed decisions.

What is your occupation? I work and go to school. And no I don't work at starbucks, I unload freight at a warehouse. I like the physical activity, it reduces stress.

of course, but only on a limited basis. to argue that you know the smartest people in the world because you are a paper pusher at a grad school is ridiculous.

It does keep me going........

I would love to talk to shotofclarity 20 years from now when he realizes that gov't is not righteous or a savior............

:pepper:

I know it's not either of those things. So do most democrats. The difference is, we think the government can improve and better the lives of the citizens. Which it does.
