that is laughable. The government is supposed to protect its people, not be its sole provider. How does it make someone's life better by not teaching them responsibility, and promoting a broken system that is payed for by the people that already know they need to work to survive?

Hello. SoC was saying it's obvious that 99% of athletes support Obama because 99% are african-america. Duh.

Of course he's wrong on the assumption and wrong on the percentage but he is going to school in a dumber poorer state than Tennessee so cut him some slack.

I'm from Tennessee :) We moved to WV due to my dad's job. And yes he is employed by the Feds lol.

The state I live in has no effect on my level of intelligence, which quite honestly, trounces yours.

Again, you should read and reread so you don't sound ignorant when you post. I said I work for one of the top academic universities in the country. You have no idea as to what you are talking about. At this university, the average incoming gpa is 3.95 and average ACT around 31. Little correlation between grad school and intelligence??? Again, you have no idea what you are talking about.

This isn't the first thread started by truefan trying to pigeon hole the right/republicans into one negative category while trying to cast a positive light on the left/democrats. For the life of me it escapes me what that thread was about. It just always gets me that this is very typical of left leaning people, and it comes across as very self indulgent and gratifying and ya'll are supposed to be the "enlightened ones" who are so full of tolerance.

In terms of gov't........ in between.

A republic is a wonderful idea and when you have people like Cincinnaticus reliquenshing power as planned. I would put it in the middle at the best.

Those pesky Caesars turned every thing around for the worse.
