For those of you getting it, which color? I've wanted white for the longest time (had a black 3GS and I have a black 4S) but the black 5 looks really nice.

Have to agree that I am dissappointed with the accuracy of the leaks. But then again what else can they really do right now. It will take a major leap in the way we use technology to see a major shift in in design.

With that said, I would like to get one but will wait until the 5s.

The black is nice with the black bezel & buttons. I have a white 4s but I'll probably get the black 5. The only disappointment is they went with a longer screen & not even a little wider.

I like the lightning cable. Pretty ridiculous that the adapter for older cables costs $30. They should include an adapter free inside the box with new iPhone and iPods.

True but there will be some aftermarket adapters before we know it & probably a lot cheaper.

I'm on "the list" at my store for a 64g black, 2 32g black and a 32g white for my daughter. No waiting in line next Friday.:good!:

I like the new connector as well.

I tried that at my local AT&T and got screwed over. I was out there from 6am until 8 waiting to get a pre order in and this lady from inside told us all pre orders were sold out (due to online) and that we would have to wait until release day to have the chance to get one. Lucky Apple's site still had the pre orders available for launch day delivers. I was able to sneak one in at 1pm that Friday. This pre order will probably be a lot more congested due to the more physical updates.

I'm worried about the aluminum backs to these phones. I really hope they are as sturdy as the iPad aluminum.

If I survived glass I think anything else is safe for me. I always have a case on anyway.

whats the new cable..
we have the adapters in our cars to play thorugh the radio, and charge..
So did the charging port change size

Yes it's a lot smaller.

It's pretty slick, but the bad thing is you will have to buy the $30 adapter in order to keep using your iPhone 5 with radio, car charger, etc. But as CC said, there will be a bunch of after market adapters for $5 in a couple of weeks. I'd just wait for those to come out if you can.

A new way to get connected.
Making iPhone 5 thinner and lighter required a pivotal change: replacing the 30-pin connector with something newer, smaller, and better. Introducing the Lightning connector. It features an all-digital, eight-signal design that’s significantly more durable than the 30-pin connector. Another brilliant feature of Lightning: It’s reversible. Which means there’s no wrong way to plug in the cable.

Lightning to 30-pin Adapter.
Soon many iPhone accessories will be Lightning compatible. But if you have one that depends on the 30-pin connector, you can still connect it to your iPhone 5. Simply use a Lightning to 30-pin Adapter (sold separately).

If your accessories accept the USB. you should still be able to use them.

Maybe. My car stereo came with it's own cord that splits at the stereo end with a USB & auxiliary. It's also a hassle hauling 1 cable around everywhere you go.

On another note for us still grandfathered with unlimited through AT&T it will go up to a 5GB cap before you're throttled with 4G LTE.

Relieved that AT&T is doing that. Was afraid I'd have to lose my unlimited and go with a new LTE plan.

By the way, installed the GM of iOS 6. It's great. Anyone can upgrade, no need to have a Dev account. Just do a standard upgrade or you can just restore and back up if you'd rather have a fresh install.

Can't decide...black or white.

Pretty sure I'm going with white. I've had black for all my other iPhones. I think the two tone back looks good unlike a lot of other people. Here's a video demo of a guy playing with the white one.
