True, but there's also no point in locking yourself into an iPhone 5 now unless you absolutely have to when the new one is almost certainly going to be released in September or October. That's a lot of money to pay for a phone that will be antiquated in 6-8 weeks.

how is it antiquated? what exactly cannot I not do on a 5 once the 5s comes out? make calls? text? use the internet? tweet? use apps? take pics?

just because you don't have the latest tech doesnt mean it is antiquated.

I was really speaking in the sense that in 6-8 weeks you'll be able to get the same phone at a significantly lower price than you can today. That's what happens when it's no longer the current model. If there is any way somebody could hold out a few more weeks, they'd be able to save some money. I just can't imagine forking out full value for a phone that in a little over a month there is going to be a better (even if only slightly so) version for the same money. It would be one thing if this were December, but by this point it makes sense to wait if at all possible IMO.

We would not have upgraded my wife's phone if not for the busted screen. It was bad. Like, cut your finger bad. In the end we broke just short of even after selling the busted one.

It was never really utilized that much on the Atrix a couple years ago. Would be cool to see it properly implemented for security. Would be a hell of a lot easier using a thumbprint over some pin code or password.

Had 8GB of "other" data on my phone. Had to sacrifice my jailbreak. Went ahead and installed iOS7 beta. Will report back later.

Wow ATT really makes you wait the full 2 years before you can upgrade your phone. I still have till next June for my upgrade......aaaargh

No and I got our phones last year. Got the 3gs for a penny and at the time didnt really think much about it. It would be nice to use the 4g service I keep getting emails from ATT bragging about how fast it is.

Yeah I've had to do this a couple times before. Unfortunately you can't restore 4s and 5 without upgrading to latest update and thus sacrificing the jailbreak.

So far I like 7. Its very sleek and incorporates some of the best jailbreak features. The only thing I'm going to miss is tethering but I rarely used it anyway.

I've known people that call & get the upgrade date reduce by a few months. I may wrong but they can knock off about 3 months but its up to their discretion.

5 days in with iOS 7 and I'm not missing my jailbreak at all. The control panel makes all the difference in the world.

When/if a jailbreak for 7 comes out I will probably do it but it won't be like the anxious wait for the 6 JB.

i pouted for two straight days as my PC pained to update to ios7. two days without my pandora downloader.

the sleekness, combined with huge tweaks and refinements in ios7 make the chance i took getting away from my beloved, and i spent hours on jailbreak getting phone, contacts, and apps settled...worthwhile.

itunes radio is a great replacement for pandora. it has full digital quality sound, free.

incorporation of left to right thumb gestures for browsing internet...thumbs up.

camera enhancements, as well as allowing other users to post in a stream, thumbs up.

allowing to hide newstand, huuuge thumbs up!!!

also, bottom bluetooth/wifi toggle during lockscreen as well as airdrop are great.
