iPhone

I haven't used iTunes Radio yet, but here is why I like Pandora...the shuffle. I can choose to shuffle different Artist Stations. I don't see that option with iTunes Radio. You have to listen to a particular artist station, right?

I don't think there is a quick mix option that I've noticed. My problem with pandora is that it gets very repetitive in song selection. I haven't noticed that problem with iTunes yet but I haven't spent as much time with it either.

I might still have it when I'm actually using the phone and a call comes in, I haven't had that happen since I've been paying attention the last couple days. I know for sure that the option to pull up the decline button from the lock screen is long gone from my phone since the update.

I had it. Now I don't. When I did a hard reset because siri wasn't working after the update ( she still isn't) I guess I lost it. But I swear. I had a red decline button on the screen.

If your phone is unlocked for whatever reason & you receive a call the green answer button & red decline button will show up. If its locked & you get a call you swipe to answer or double click the lock button to send to voicemail. Click once to just silent it but it will continue ringing until it sends to voicemail automatically. There is also the phone icon than is normally the camera icon in the corner that can be swiped up to pull up the answer & decline buttons as well as a couple other tabs to call back or reply with message. This is on iOS 6.X so iOS 7 must be different.

That's what it is. My phone was open. (If you will ). My wife called and it popped up with the decline key.

Thanks CC. Now I don't feel as crazy.

Does it annoy anyone else that to delete an email, you have to swipe the opposite way. It gets me every time. Weird thing to change

Is Siri not coming on or just not responding?

Make sure location services are on for Siri.

You are getting an iPhone for $199 (likely a refurb) because they guy is cutting you a break, so normally it would be $500 plus for new phone while still in contract, so saying it is a ripoff is misleading since most everyone in your situation would be up ****'s creek. Consider yourself lucky.

BTW...by getting an iphone for $199, are you having to extend your contract?

Apple always offers out of warranty replacements. It may be $199 for the 4S but I think it's more for the 5 and 5S now---$229 maybe?

Also keep in mind AppleCare covers other issues as well. So if you need multiple replacements over the two years, it is probably worth it. As with every other type of insurance, it's worth it if you end up needing it, and it's not worth it of you don't.

I've had an iPhone for years and never used a cover. Dropped it a number of times and never broke. My wife put a cover in my stocking this week and I just put it on...

Shattered my screen today.

You're welcome. Another option if you don't want to DIY or pay to have it fixed is to buy a used one off Craigslist. A 4 can had for around $200 there. A card swap (if you have one) & you're back up. I've bought 2 from there with no incidents

A replacement screen from Apple used to be $199 a couple years ago. I think it might be more now, though.
