iPhone

They have to pull up your license by putting it into a police computer. I don't think you'd want a cop to have possession of your phone.

it's my dream that one day a phone will have my license, debit/credit card info, and anything else I need in my wallet. I can do any type of transaction with a phone.

Have it password protected and able to be instantly bricked if it is ever lost or stolen. A lot more secure than carrying a wallet.

Well, I am concerned about doing it and thinking about just leaving my license in my car. A couple of reasons I thought it may be acceptable was because

1.) you can do this with your proof of auto insurance

2.) I went through the airport and they did accept photo is on my phone. As brought up earlier I am more concerned about what if I get pulled over

Thanks for the feedback everyone

Auto insurance down here is tied to your VIN# in a database, so no need for a card. No chance I'd try that with personal ID though.

While appealing, as soon as your phone battery dies you are screwed.

I know this is the iPhone thread but to you AT&T users, we're going to start doubling data for the 15gb and higher plans staring tomm. You'll have until Oct 31 to make the switch for the double data. No extra charges, same rate.

"Officer! Officer! Just plug the phone in please, I swear!!"

Then there's that odd moment when the cop is looking at your license on your phone and your gf starts sexting.

I'm jumping in at the end of this so sorry if this topic was mentioned already but I preordered an iPhone 6+ and took it back to Apple 3 days later. The phone was too tall and topheavy for me to use comfortably. I swapped it for the regular 6 and have been very happy since.

Well with the reports I have read concerning the iphone 6+, it may be possible. Apple is ahead of the curve again. It is the only smartphone that will bend like a wallet.

Wait...the 15gb plan is going to 30 gb for same price? What about 10 gb?

The 10gb will be the same with no doubling of data. Its only for the 15gb and higher rate plans. If you are a current customer you have to make the chance before Oct 31 to get it. If you currently have a 15gb or higher plan you STILL have to call in or log into my att.com to get it changed. It will not change automatically.

Any idea how I can get a better corporate discount than the 17% I have now? My wife is balking at upping the monthly bill but if I could get the 25% (or more) that alot of folks get, I think I could pull the trigger. Didn't know if there was a "Vol" discount ;)

Let me ask you...AARP gets 20% apparently, but not sure if that is employees or members.

Also, someone said Coke employees get 28%!

On another note...if I make the change to the 30gb plan from my 10 gb, when should I do it so it doesn't make my bill nutty. My billing cycle for this month is Sept 3 to Oct 2. Should I wait until Oct 2 or do it the day before/after?

You can have them set it up to change on the exact starting point of your cycle at any time. That way you avoid proration. Or you can log into your myatt account and make the change yourself. Just future-date it for Oct 3.

So you can future date...that's awesome. I don't need 30 gb by any means. 10 gb should most of the time fill our needs but we are having to be a bit more conservative. This is such a better deal that now we won't have to worry as much about how much data we are using.

I used a location based reminder today for the first time. Pretty cool feature. Instead of a timed reminder, you're alerted as you leave or arrive, or as you reach any specified place.

I ended up keeping my 6 Plus. The battery life is too good to give up and I really enjoy the large screen. It's difficult to carry but for me and the amount of time I spend using my phone, it was worth the tradeoff in the end.

And before anyone asks, no bending yet. :)

I've got the 6 and am having a tough enough time getting used to it...I can't imagine trying to use the 6 plus.

You see the T-mobile CEO's comments about bendgate?
