Iran

I’m starting to question now why we have troops in Syria. Reason I’ve switched because everytime John Kirby brings it up he always says they are fighting ISIS. Do you guys every hear of any engagements? So I think the American people are being lied to. If troops are there for the protection of Israel or just to have boots on the ground to hear things then just say it.
you are just starting to question it?

you can read up on what we are doing, but you won't find it on the MSM. various mil bloggers and some more local media covers what is going on. most of the troops over there are special forces, so there is going to be less public information on what they are doing, how many etc etc. most of the action is centered around the border regions, or working with various forces like the Kurds. for the most part it sounds like we are over there as support and not directly fighting. until you have situations like 300 Wagnerites getting turned into mush.

“The Russian high command in Syria assured us it was not their people,” defence secretary Jim Mattis told senators in testimony last month. He said he directed Gen Joseph F Dunford Jr, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, “for the force, then, to be annihilated.”

watched some interviews about this. We asked Russia if they had any forces in the area. they said they didn't. we asked them to confirm, they did. after the fight the Russians asked if we knew anything of Russian forces in the area. we replied and said we can confirm, no Russian forces in the area.

can you read? I said you were skipping over 3 or 4 options to jump straight into America is just flat out wrong, didn't say America couldn't be wrong or that weren't other options. You asked what those 3 or 4 other options were and I was laying out those 3 or 4 steps, never said they were the only options. I even went over how the US could have been doing the same thing with the same steps, but I guess you also ignored that as well.

Israel has invited us over there, but you rant and rave about us helping them even though we were invited. Jordan has similarly invited us over. but even with those invites you still hold us as wrong but give Russia a pass. which just goes to show you can't be consistent or logical when it comes to America. You just jump past anything, ruling it improbable, than doesn't make us the bad guys in literally every situation. I have never seen you or Ras react to a situation which didn't lay the majority of the blame on the US/west. literally none, so while you acknowledge we aren't at blame literally 100% of the time, you act and post like we are. which just circles back to your inconsistencies.

Did you read the part where I said the options were possible? Or did you ignore that? But because I get to my conclusion without using your 3-4 step anti-US debunking program…this angers you..

Invitations to Israel and Jordan are not excuses for maintaining an illegal presence in Syria.

possible but not plausible, which means you don't think its worth considering.

if you had some variety it would lead some plausibility to you making judgements instead of knee jerk reactions. but every single time you come to the exact same conclusion. you don't pass Go, you don't collect 200 dollars, you always just jump to "America bad". try visiting a rail road, or Tennessee Street or Board Walk, and then you COULD argue what is actually plausible.

never said the invitations to those two countries was a reason to be in Syria.

Even if the US is invited, does that mean that we are obliged to accept that invitation? See, this is the question that people need to be asking. What does our presence there have to do with US national security or national interests?

Its not enough to just agree to disagree…now the analytical approach itself is questioned. 🤦🏼‍♂️

If only we all thought and processed just like you..

if we weren't there we wouldn't have any way to protect shipping from the Houthis or whatever other group wants to take pot shots at us. area has always been, and will likely always be, a hotspot for pirate-esque activities.

you act like if we huddled in our corner of the world that everything would go fine or even better. you let the couple dozen fires we are keeping down become major issues it dramatically begins to change the global economy, and even as isolationists it would hurt us. what happens to everyone's economy when we see all shipping insurance rates jump up 4x like we have in the Red Sea now? what happens when the short cuts that make things efficient disappear? What happens when access is denied to entire regions?

It’s an interesting question. It’s becoming painfully obvious that US national security and national interests are subordinate to certain foreign interests..
