Oh yeah. He's been the most consistent as far as finishing races so far... he'll have a bad race or two eventually to even things out.

i have a feeling they're going to have the chance to catch back up to Dario at some point.

...maybe next week.

Franchitti spanked'em legitimately tonight.

What was up with that last caution? I felt like I was watching a NASCAR race.

Normally I would be sick of seeing the same guy dominating... but the "Canadian Club" on his car makes it ok. :)

Another solid finish for Danica! :yahoo:

yeah, Danica's 6th top 10 this year. definately something to be said for that.

and it appears that this may just very well be Dario's year. i could live with that. great guy and very very humble.

Anyone catch Wind Tunnel tonight?

Robin Miller was on there and was fairly adamant about Hornish jumping to NASCAR next season to be Ku. Busch's teammate. Also said that Kanaan might be Hornish's replacement at Penske in the IRL...

yup. i caught it.

the only thing more awesome than this happening, would be for Kyle to drive for Penske as well. like i said, that's the ONLY thing that could make this any better than it already would be.

They brought this up on the show as well, but is Hornish really ready for the Cup Series? There is no doubt he has the talent and ability, but he hasn't did so hot in his only Busch Series races so far in pretty good cars. Then again, he's only ran 10-15 stockcar races, if that many.

I think back to Newman though, and he was fast from the get-go when he got in stockcars.

Not looking likely that Wheldon will jump to NASCAR in the very near future...

Chip Ganassi has said that he does not expect Dan Wheldon to switch to NASCAR in the near future, this week's Autosport reports.

"I do not consider a move imminent," he said. "I personally don't see it on Dan's radar for next year.

"We've had discussions along the lines of 'let's renew our deal' and there's some other opportunities within the team. I don't see it as one of the top five things I'm conversing with him about."

IRL Standings after Richmond...

1. Dario Franchitti 359
2. Scott Dixon 294
3. Dan Wheldon 287
3. Tony Kanaan 287
5. Sam Hornish Jr. 257
6. Helio Castroneves 245

Helio really needs to make the most of the road course event this weekend in Watkins Glen to keep his chances alive.

And hoping for Franchitti to falter somewhere probably wouldn't hurt.

Wellt, Dixon won. Nice run for Hornish to finish 2nd. More tough luck for Helio.

But who cares about that. I'd hate to be that guy that took Hornish Sr. to the ground. Looked like he got taken down by two Penske guys.

It got a lot of run on Wind Tunnel tonight as well!

There was apparently a rumor going around that the guy that took down Hornish Sr. was Danica's dad.

How come?

I dunno what sense that would make for Danica's dad to go after Hornish's father in that situation. It'd make more sense for Kanaan's dad to be there and go at it with Sam Sr., heh.

That was quite the little incident. Sam vs. TK. Sam Sr. vs. TK. Wheldon there holding TK back. Marco coming out of nowhere to push HIS dad out of the way. Then Sam Sr. vs. the dude in the white shirt followed by two guys from Penske I'd imagine throwing the white shirt dude down.
