Is Butch loosing his appeal in with Tennessee recruits?

Second, Richmond is from Memphis and Jefferson has only been here a couple years.

We shouldn't be worried about Richmond. We have some very good kids coming in at his position. So I say lets focus on who really wants to be a Vol and who dont. Besides we've got the best lineman in the state committed to us anyways. If I had the pick I would rather have Jack Jones anyways.

There is a thread in the recruiting forum that talks about us looking to a few JUCO OL. I think an argument can be made that that would be a good idea. Especially since Hall's injury.

I agree. Unless a kid really shows interest in being a Vol I wouldnt put to much time and sweat on the Memphis area anyways.

Nothing against a kid like Bruce, but if he doesn't get UT offer I doubt another SEC school offers.
Whereas the top 9 out of 12 are all commited to SEC schools. Two to Bama. That bothers me more than anything. If UT gets the top 5 in-state players they are likely a top 5 finish.
This staff will have to show wins.

What are you fully expecting here? Just curious? What's your ideal, yet realistic class? Also, take in account that pretty much every player UT is still recruiting that isn't an OL is considered a 4 star or higher on almost ever recruiting site. All of them have elite offers. These players include, Sapp, Phillips, Justin Martin, etc. Also, I'm really hoping you are looking at the offer list and film tape of guys like Ford and Smith. Those guys are ballers. I don't give two flying s@@@@ what anyone rates them as, those guys are going to be real players for us.

SIAP. Did CBJ and staff "miss" on Van Jefferson or did he wait too long to try to decide. Especially with the class filling up and us not having a huge need at WR. Also isn't it believed that Amadi was slow played or else he was ready to commit to the Vols. As stated some of these weren't even recruited. And Phillips is still out there. I have no problem with questioning some of the offers. But I also realize CBJ has spent a lot more time on this than any of us and has a whole lot more money riding on these decisions than any of us. So I fill they have given it every effort to make the best offers as they see it.

Van was quoted as saying Tennessee had a bunch of receivers. I think we would have taken him but he was obviously nervous about the depth we have there.
