Is Saban the best ever?

There aren't enough words in the English language to properly describe my white hot hatred for your poor excuse of a state and "university".

Just providing this for you. I hope you feel better soon

24-Hour Crisis Hotline - The Samaritans

I sure wish I was enlightened as some (a few) of you think you are.
If you don't think a thread like that doesn't bolster the toothless nation your kidding yourself. But hey, the rest of us Vol fans can only hope to be as good as some of you and maybe we can one day appreciate starting threads and making posts that make bammers happy.

So? What the hell does that have to do with starting a thread that every damned bammer in the WORLD will laugh their a$$es off at us about?

The thread was nothing more than level-headed discussion until you jumped in. Only then did it become hilarious.

Who's trying to make bammers happy? Jesus kid, you got some issues there. He has been the hottest coach in college football for the better part of two decades and is the best coach most of us have seen in our lifetimes. Not sure what is so terrible with a thread discussing this in "Around the NCAA". God forbid we discuss things outside of UT in this forum.

1. You're operating under the false assumption that most bama fans can read

2. In the off event that they do send one of their dodo bird-rare "learn-ed" people like bamawriter to translate for them, they will only reply with crude caveman-like drawings carved into the skins of barn animals they just had intercourse with, drawings which depict us keeping Derrick Dooley as a good idea.

In other words, who cares what bama fans think? If I want an opinon out of them, I'll beat it out of them.

It's funny that you will fight to have discussions praising our rivals while also fighting to be able to bash Tennessee players, coaches and program. Damned your so progressive you must be European.

Fight? and fighting to bash Tennessee players, coaches, and program? Please elaborate.

Saban is the greatest collage coach in the history of football = Fighting for our rivals

Dobbs needs to be much better in him consistency and accuracy to be considered a top-level QB and be seriously considered as a top round NFL draft pick = bashing players

Is this what you are suggesting? You are beyond help

Crazy factoid: Ever since Saban went to LSU, every single recruiting class he has signed has won a NC. That's just unreal

Right now Saban as the best ever is a safe pick, all them rings and all, but I'm surprised to see no mention of Urban Meyer in here.

Urban Meyer first 14 years: 153-27, 7 Conference Titles, 3 National Titles
Nick Saban first 14 years: 150-50-1, 3 Conference Titles, 1 National Title

Meyer is behind in NCs overall, but he's impressed me every bit as much as Saban has. We'll see how his next 7 years pan out.

Where are you getting 7 Conference Titles for Meyer? He won 5 (and that's if you're including the two Mountain West conference titles in this...but if you're doing that, Saban's year as a HC at Toledo when they won the MAC in 1990 would need to count, upping his number to 4).

I think Meyer will catch him. He has a juggernaut going at OSU and in a weaker conference.

You shorted Saban a conference and a national title, and over-credited Meyer two conference titles.

But, more significantly, Saban spent 13 of his first 14 years in the Power 5. And he took over a sanction-ridden program at MSU, a DiNardo-ridden program at LSU, and a Bama program that had managed only one winning season in the previous 4 years. Meyer spent 2 seasons each in the MAC and MWC, and then took over a Florida program that hadn't been worse than 7-5 since 1987.

Meyer is a great coach. And, given that he's younger than Saban, he's got plenty of time to add to his resume. But comparing his accomplishments with Saban's, at the moment, doesn't really hold up.
