Islam, is it a religion of peace or war?

Billy Graham and the Pope said Allah and Yahweh are the same God. I am going to take their word over what you or your Dad say.

Carson Newman is a Southern Baptist school. Did you happen to notice I did not include Southern Baptists in the list of denominations that believe in the Abrahamic God theory? You nor anyone else have proven anything false in this thread. You represent a minority of Christians.

You are flat out wrong here.

Billy Graham said a lot that was wrong. The Pope? You mean the head of the organization that permitted and covered up child molestation?

But he described a creation day when telling the creation story so we can know the difference.
If that's your belief, fine. I'm not looking to shake your faith. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it is what it is. I'm curious though how you rectify difference of opinion between Christians with your argument about how Muslims and Jews don't worship the same God as Christians. If Christians can view things different from each other, does that mean we don't worship the same God?

I would definitely say that would be correct in some cases. Some who proclaim Christ don't believe in the Virgin birth. Are they worshipping the same Lord as those that do believe in the Bible account of the Virgin birth?

And why do girls talk so much? And while we're at it, why are women so hard to understand?

I'm just wondering why you take the Bible to be literally true when some of these things ideas are seemingly contradictory.

If God is outside of time, what sense does it make to say he did x on the first day, y on the second day, and so forth? There were no days because there was no time.

There are no contradictions in the literal six day creation account.

You are talking about differences in minor details versus differences in the fundamentals.

We are speaking to the nature and character of God. If someone or some group denies and rejects fundamentals, then it isn’t the same.

God created time yet he lives in eternity. I simply believe that God could create everything that he created in the time frame the Bible says. What it says was created on day one was in fact created on day one. Then he clears up the time frame by telling us that the evening and the mourning was the first day. And so on and so on.

Jesus was God before coming to Earth yet he bound himself with a robe of flesh. He humbled himself and became a man.

Not evidence, but the faith it takes to believe evolution. There is zero credible evidence to support evolution.

Do you really not recognize the irony of suggesting it takes more faith to believe in evolution (of which there is mountains of physical evidence) than you suggesting that dinosaurs caught a ride on Noah's Arc along with every other species of insect and animal on the planet?

What does Ham say about getting the penguins from Antarctica to the middle east for the boat ride?

So every denomination of Christianity has a different God?

Also, not to sound heretical, but who did God dictate Genesis to? I've never seen that mentioned in the Bible.

It takes more faith to believe that you evolved from a rock than to believe God created man in six literal days.

I fear that your understanding of human evolution is not as complete as your literal understanding of the Bible.

Who is the author?
Well, even though they didn't write them down themselves, the different Gospels were supposedly told by who they're named after.

I should probably note, I am a Christian that believes in God and Jesus, but I have serious questions about the Bible. How it was put together, and how it may have been edited throughout history by various authoritative figures. Plenty of books that were considered but not included in the Bible. But Slice is probably better to discuss that with than myself.

Is eternity inside of time or outside of time?

If it's outside of time then how does one act over the course of literal days?

If you can't trust the Bible, what can you trust?

I readily admit that I am much more educated in the Bible than I am evolution. I have the truth! No need to study every false way when you have the right way.

God. You said you believe God talks to you. So do I. It's faith. I'm not saying the Bible is completely wrong, but unlike God, I think the Bible is fallible.

Well then, upon what foundation do you build your Christianity upon?

Penguins can swim dumbass.
