But when you have leaders who are so narrow minded and hell bent on one issue instead of making things better for the people this is the result you get. They suffer because of poor leadership and unreasonable priorities. This is the result that would come for any nation whose leaders act in this way only it is magnified here because of the circumstances.

I disagree. The Ottoman Empire tolerated Jews just fine. There are still Jews scattered around the middle east today. NOW the hatred of Jews for just being Jews is rampant there, but it wasn't that way before the 20th century in the Middle East, at least not any more so than it was that way in the US and Europe as well.

The people of the Middle East have a less damning history of anti-semitism than Europe, and aside from the differences in time scale a similar one to the US until the last 100 years.

Israelis can absolutely blockade where they are.

The blockade is 3 nautical miles offshore. That's legal. The ships in the flotilla were well beyond that.

they tolerated them because they didn't commit holocaust? what's your evidence of said tolerance? land has changed hands throughout history in the middle east. i don't think its' a coincidence that the land changing hands that has most angered the middle east countries is the land occupied by jews.

Blacks were in charge of our diplomacy? C'mon, you demanded evidence, I gave it. You've yet to show anything other than your preconceived notions and impressions.

Also, remind me when the American government invited and welcomed more people of African descent into the country.

That part of the world wasn't a vacuum, and it pissed off a lot of people over there when Palestinians (who nobody likes, really) were displaced into Egypt, Jordan, and other places by the formation of the Jewish State. This is what started the initial conflicts of sixty years ago, and those conflicts are the source of today's anger and resentment by those countries.

Should I just fall in line like a good soldier and believe those subhuman Palestinians arose from holes in the ground to try and take the land God promised the Jews 5000 years ago but that they haven't controlled in almost 2000 years until now? I generally support Israel since they've historically been our ally and because of the hostile environment in which they live. I believe their values are more closely aligned with ours than are those of most other ME countries. I also tend to support them since their attackers use terror tactics that target civilians.

It has nothing to do with my religious beliefs.

This particular situation is bad all the way around and both parties share blame.

this is why i support isreal. one group is out to eliminate our way of life, the other fights to protect it.
