You said Mayors. So what about Pete Buttigieg? Former mayor and now cabinet member. He's got two qualifications you would like.
I don't believe one person is capable of properly running the exec branch any longer. This country is too big and too complicatedJust because someone was "Chief Executive" of the equivalent of 3 or 4 McDonalds locations doesnt qualify them to run the US Federal gov (then again, at least they would understand labor rates and making a profit/payroll). He is a cabinet member who is failing spectacularly and was gone on paternity leave much of his first year while things burned down. Which is absolutely ridiculous btw since its not like his "wife" actually did anything to get that baby but sign the papers so they could very well take care of them while ol Pete goes to work. Then again, the more I see him talk, the more I think he needs to take MORE family time.

I was just letting Hog know that Pete Buttigieg met 3 of his qualifications. I'm just trying to help Hog find a candidate. He didn't specify what political party or political beliefs they needed to have.Just because someone was "Chief Executive" of the equivalent of 3 or 4 McDonalds locations doesnt qualify them to run the US Federal gov (then again, at least they would understand labor rates and making a profit/payroll). One person yes, but with checks and balances from other branches to keep him or her from totally running amok.
You go high enough you always come to one man...Who is it?
Exactly right - in the end, one person has to have final decision. Even in the Chinese system, while it may look like rule by committee to outsiders, it is not. One person usually is the main decider.
The 2 consul system of Rome worked there for a time, with a sole dictator appointed in war time. But of course, eventually Cesar seized that power permanently. There must always only be one captain of each ship. One person who answers for things, good or bad.
