Its about to get real

I never said CEOs only. I said an executive within the government or outside of (preferably). That would include Governors, Mayors and former cabinet members. I think we can all agree that electing Senators has been a disaster.
So you want someone like Bill Deblasio?

No, I would not want someone like Bill D. What on earth would give you that idea?
You said Mayors. So what about Pete Buttigieg? Former mayor and now cabinet member. He's got two qualifications you would like.

But he's on the opposite side of the political spectrum than I am, why would I support his candidacy?

Stop being obtuse.

Well. He does meet 3 of your qualifications.

1. Mayor
2. Cabinet Member
3. Not a Senator

So? I wouldn't vote for him or Pete just like I wouldn't vote for Owens or anyone that has only held a Senate/House seat.

So someone who is a member of the House of Representatives isn't good enough for you?

Right now, they are just the wrestling tag team entering the ring and about to beat up the Mulky Brothers (Biden and Kamala). At some point in 2024, they may (or may not) decide to break up the team.

Mulkymania is running wild!

I doubt anyone else knows who the Mulky brothers are.

Just because someone was "Chief Executive" of the equivalent of 3 or 4 McDonalds locations doesnt qualify them to run the US Federal gov (then again, at least they would understand labor rates and making a profit/payroll). He is a cabinet member who is failing spectacularly and was gone on paternity leave much of his first year while things burned down. Which is absolutely ridiculous btw since its not like his "wife" actually did anything to get that baby but sign the papers so they could very well take care of them while ol Pete goes to work. Then again, the more I see him talk, the more I think he needs to take MORE family time.

I don't believe one person is capable of properly running the exec branch any longer. This country is too big and too complicated

Rank these five from best to worst: FDR, Lincoln, Reagan, Clinton, Trump

Reagan, Lincoln, FDR, Clinton, Trump
On a side note, I understand the board’s feelings on Lincoln but I disagree. I also believe Clinton was a pretty good President compared to Bush, W, Obama, Trump, and Biden.

Not if they only dealt with their intended purpose. We have got to unwrap this fur ball. AFAIAK...it is right there in front of us with the 10th...I know wishful thinking

I was just letting Hog know that Pete Buttigieg met 3 of his qualifications. I'm just trying to help Hog find a candidate. He didn't specify what political party or political beliefs they needed to have.

You go high enough you always come to one man...Who is it?

Exactly right - in the end, one person has to have final decision. Even in the Chinese system, while it may look like rule by committee to outsiders, it is not. One person usually is the main decider.

The 2 consul system of Rome worked there for a time, with a sole dictator appointed in war time. But of course, eventually Cesar seized that power permanently. There must always only be one captain of each ship. One person who answers for things, good or bad.

One person yes, but with checks and balances from other branches to keep him or her from totally running amok.
We are screwed up because 1) Congress refuses to ie the power of the purse to reign in the Imperial Presidency and 2) the Supreme Court refuses to use the tenth Amendment to reign in Congressional overreach into State matters

Lincoln, then Regan. The other three didn’t receive any votes from the coaches are are therefore umranket 😉
You have Lincoln first and Hog has Lincoln last. It's almost as if "reasonable" people can disagree. That's why the averaged rankings from a number of experts is really the only indicator.
