Pretty sure we all know how reliable the phrase "My guy at UT says it's a done deal" is. If Gruden is completely out of the picture I think He is a solid hire and will surprise alot of disappointed Vols fans next year.

If we had to go this route, I will support him. But the money is just so insane, he's won as a 3 year head coach at Louisville. I think UT could hire him, but if they pay this much something is seriously wrong with the AD.

Here is my issue. Look at the fact that it took him THREE whole seasons to get to a BCS game. Now look at some of the good coaches out there. Saban has been to a BCS bowl two years in a row. Now that is the sign of a good coach. Gruden went to Bowls all the time, same with Stoops and Gundy. All have coached and likely won BCS bowls. So you Strong fanboys can please leave, and get back to me when he plays in a BCS bowl!!

I think thats the main reason he wants to leave Louisville they dont fill there stands even when they were 9-0 he made that statment in his presser. If he gets us to 9-0 u think we wouldnt fill neyland.
