When I first read this thread title I expected a tongue in cheek thread...poking fun at all the "Move Hurd to *insert position here* threads"....I can't believe I was wrong.
I DO NOT understand why this fanbase wants to take one of the top RB's coming out of highschool...and one of the anchors of this class, and want him moved to any position other than RB.
OK - fair response. I have not hurd that or read that about hurd.
And just curious, does anyone in VN have any substantive proof that Hurd could not be a QB w/the right coaching?? And not just your personal gut feelings, but proof?
During a bowl games this past week (don't remember which of the 50) one of the teams playing apparently took I think a wide receiver and turned him into a QB.
With Jalen's height and speed, has there ever been any talk of CBJ and staff exploring the possibility? I mean, it's not as if VN and the coaching staff are even close to being in agreement on a lock on the QB position for next Fall, so why couldn't Hurd be considered?

True but Butch doesn't run a Malzahn type offense. If Hurd were moved to QB he'd have to throw it a lot more than Marshall does.
This is the SEC. You can't just put a RB who has never played QB before in there at QB. I know this is just fan speculation and it is the off-season but I can't believe some people actually think its a good idea.
NOPE! He stated CLEARLY in an interview last week (which one of our Volnation peeps posted) that a BIG part of his decision to come to UT was that he was promised he would NOT be converted to a different position than running back. So good, bad, or indifferent, he will line up at RB.
Really? Hey I'm 5ft8in 215lbs and about 12% bf. I know I'm an engineer but since I'm big and work out maybe I can go play FB or something in the NFL.
Right? That seems to be the same logic you used lol
