The Vandy of old wouldn't even hire those guys! I told all the Vols fans I know what a joke Kiffen was the day UT hired him. I was right about Dooley too. How did U guys let Hamilton get away with it?

And who else is Vandy going to get when (not if) Franklin bolts?

Think about it before answering. Just because you've had success and a winning record the past few years does not elevate your programs stature into the upper levels. Because at the core of it all, you are still the running joke of the SEC called Vanderbilt.

Texas thought they could throw out the Longhorn logo and a big bag of cash to get any coach in the nation to come running. You see what that got them. And in counter, Vanderbilt simply cannot use the Commodore logo to entice a coach to come and they don't have anywhere near the funds that Texas can produce. In short, you're stuck with whomever decides they want want their career notes to show they went to a team that historically barely breaks .500 every season.

Franklin is a good coach and has definitely improved the program at Vandy temporarily, however if they don't make the right hire, they will slip right back to same ole Vandy immediately.

As a Tennessee fan I don't think we have any right to talk smack to Vandy or anyone else that has been kicking our a** the past few years. Sure we have won NC's but that's been a long time ago. Humble pie is hard to eat but right now that's what is being served on The Hill. Until things change we better grab a big spoon and dig in. I know I'm gonna get blasted for this but sometimes the truth hurts.

Munchak has never coached in college at any level. I'm not saying Franklin is the absolute best candidate, but if it's between him and Munch, PSU would be beyond stupid to not pick Franklin.
