Yes, sorry, thanks for adding that pug, he still has a fifth year regardless, wouldn't have to worry about going the medical route.
I'm guessing this has already been discussed on here but here's a quote from Rob Lewis on VQ that clears up whether Maymon would need to apply for a 6th year of eligibility.
So if the staff decides to RS Maymon it's definitely a plus that he doesn't have to worry about the NCAA granting him a 6th year.
Yea this has been discussed a lot now, people thought because he transferred e redshirted, this wasn't the case.
Yeah I figured it had been, just wanted to post it to be sure though.
Honestly at this point I'm hoping Coach Martin will just go ahead and RS him because I would rather him be healthy for an entire season. And at this point I don't think Stokes is close to being NBA ready, so it would be huge to have both of those guys return next year.
Would be great for the team to mesh together without Maymon and then you bring him into the mix. He is a good unselfish player who is great on the boards and who stokes meshes well with. Is there any scenario where we could see him in basketball shape by sec tournament time ?

Maymon needs to hurry and come back. His inside presence is what we need right now because our inside game is really terrible. I think Coach Martin tries to hard to evolve the offense around Stokes and it hasn't worked. Having two dominate post players (Stokes and Maymon) will not only help the front court but the back court as well. Yemi and Hall to come in and relieve the two well help a lot as well.
Wouldn't count on it.
Our JRs and SRs just need to grow up and play to their potential every game.
Win about 20 games and come back a powerhouse with Maymon and Hubbs next season.
I hate hearing that there is always next season. Maymon needs to play this year and not worry about a medical blue shirt or whatever. Having him sit out this season will hurt them team more imo than helping it.

Read the signs. At this point I want them to just redshirt him. Let him spend the rest of the year getting healthy. Guys are going to have to step up but the tournament is still an attainable goal, even without Maymon. Yemi, Q, and Edwards can get some valuable experience in his absence. Which will only help going forward. A healthy Maymon and Hubbs coming in, with every major piece except Hall and McBee returning next year could be scary good. And no I'm not "waiting to next yearing it", I just see no reason to waste Maymons last year. I still see a 8 or 9 seed as a possibility this year.
Huh? Who?
Maymon.
Signs:
Martin still looking at bigs for 2013.
Tim's rant that the knee is 100%.
Tim has always made every decision in Jerrone's career.
Started with seeing his son as a one year player and Williams running his offense through him.
Tim won't risk another injury playing in what he would consider a meaningless season if Jerrone gets a peep of interest from the NBA.
I'll have to respectfully disagree with this. If Maymon doesn't play this season I don't see his dad forcing him to go pro. And I don't see how a return next year would be a "meaningless" season. They'd have the roster to make a deep run into the tourney, and very balanced lineup that'd allow Maymon to work 1on1.

We're talking about TIM Maymon here.
He'll test the waters. If he can get Jerrone into the NBA this season, he'll be gone.
Hopefully.
The way our luck runs, someone will take a chance.
Wasn't he being projected a second rounder before the injury?
The very best I saw him projected by a reputable service was LATE 2nd round, their mock draft actually had him like 2nd to last pick in the draft.
Now fast forward to him sitting out an entire year and barely being able to walk...doubt that raises his stock.
