As for theuniverse/Vols thing......I feel it. We must speak it into existance. Saban's going to Dallas. Bray goes 5-0 to finish the year. DD lands top10 class. Vols one year away from the top. Cmon VN, show your power!

Jon Gruden, next Boys coach. JMO

I was selling equipment to the Bucs when JG was there....I do not believe that he and JJ could EVER survive each other.
JG would have to have mellowed a ton.

It could happen, in Jerry's mind he could be thinking "the only two coaches that have won Super Bowl's for me came out of the college ranks". Saban, I believe would jump all over the Cowboys job.

Saban will leave Bammer in a heart beat for the right offer.

Its hilarious to observe how the Bama fans think he has deep Bama blood. He just wants to win, and will go wherever he thinks he can do that best. He is 59 years old (I think), he's got probably 1 more gig in him. He won 2 NC's in college, time to win a super bowl with a pretty talented cowboys team.

Somebody get the Bama fans the # to that LSU support group that still moans about Saban having no loyalty...

Personally, I'd be shocked. He had free rein and an open checkbook with the Dolphins and was quite the failure. Having been a life-long Dolphins fan, I can tell you he had all the opportunities to succeed but didn't. I think he realizes putting a winning team together is far more difficult in the pros and it's simply not his cup of tea.

It goes without saying he'll have the checkbook with the 'Boys, but it will always be Jerry's team. Not too many great coaches will like that arrangement.

His tenure at Miami was weird because 1. His teams seemed very disciple and seemed pretty good 2. They always ended around 8-8. I've heard from some people that he got a lot out of less talent, and they point to the years right after he left.

Well, the Cam Cameron experiment sure was a bust, I'll say that.

Seriously, though, he made a ton of personnel decisions that were terrible in retrospect. The biggest, of course, was passing on Brees when San Diego made the decision to go with Rivers. Those are the types of mistakes you can get my with in college but will kill you in the NFL.

There were a lot of things I liked about him when he was in Miami but I still think he's made for college football.

Jerry Jones could kill two birds with one stone by hiring Saban. He would have his high profile coach and would also be helping his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. Win win situation.

The only legit argument one could make is manager of the New York Yankees.

Baseball falling less popular plus the days when Steinberger mellowed out took that position out of contention for the top spot. It's still up there but not a contendor for #1 any more.

Yankees skipper is a big one, but Americans just don't watch baseball anymore.

The Cowboys are the most talked about team in the most popular sports league in America. I just don't see how Saban could pass that up if Jerry made him an offer.

I guess a distant 3rd would be Phil Jackson and the Lakers job.

If Jerry made the offer I don't know how you could turn it down. This should be interesting...
