I'm gonna call 1-800-bull-@*#% on the arguement that he was just trying to protect his players. Tressel knows the rules. If anything he got caught up in winning and losing. He knew that if he reported violations to the NCAA that there would be heat in suspending player(impact players)! He thought this was something minor that would get brushed under the rug! People want to put him on some kinda pedestal like he is such a great man! All I know is he isn't what many make him out to be. Yea he speaks well and dresses well but a liar is a liar and a cheater is a cheater! I think there is more to the story that hasn't come out yet IMO!

I knew something like this would happen. Bruce Pearl, now Jim Tressel. Two great coaches are now out of jobs because they lied to the NCAA. Question is, who's next?

I will be very surprised if Meyer goes to coach there.

Ohio State is going to be hammered unmercifully by the NCAA for the coverup and lying on the part of Ohio State's Athletic department. Expect Geno Smith a Gordon Gee to possibly lose their jobs soon. With that in mind, who will want to suffer for 3-4 years and take another rebuild for 3-4 years to rebuild?

At 3 mil a year I guess you could count a lot of coaches.

No doubt the vest gets (or used to get) a nice, fat bonus for winning the Big 10 and making a BCS bowl. His actions were motivated by greed, plain and simple.

No sane coach should consider this job until the NCAA issues are clear. I guess that's why OSU is waiting until after the season. Even then, they better hope the NCAA issues aren't too serious.

As nuts as this might sound, if its really bad, only then does Fulmer actually make sense.

Not saying it would ever happen, just the only scenario Phil's name would ever legit get brought up, and likely not even then.

Supposedly, a scathing article on OSU's program with more allegations coming out in SI on Tuesday.
