The guy has had limited success with south Florida talent. I don't understand what makes people think he would be successful here.

I'd be five with Jimbo, the fact that he has a winning record makes me feel infinitely better..

Would be a horrible hire. He can't beat an SEC team with the great talent he has at FSU.

1. Successful SEC Coordinator
2. Successful SEC Recruiter
3. Successful coach overall
4. Great coach to have to put together a coaching staff with his contacts in the SEC, ACC, etc...

It looks like he has learned something valuable as well and that is to hire a coordinator you trust to call plays on the side of the ball you are an expert in. Takes a lot of pressure off the HC and allows him to manage more rather than killing himself. Saban learned this as well. I think that's the best thing Fisher can do.

There are a lot if ciachs that can say the same thing. Expect being a head coach. Right now he has more access to talent then he will ever have at TN unless he gets back to our old standards and he still hasn't even snuffed a NC.

Same but it will be so hard. I'm so tired of telling my wife that the vols used to be good. She is a fan of about five years. She loves the vols but gets ragged on a lot by different fans at her work because of it. I don't think Jimbo will fix that. But like with Dooley I'll hope for the best.

That's sad because we used to be good. I was never behind Dooley. Ever.

10-4, 9-4, and currently 10-2
2-0 in bowl games
#2 recruiting class in 2011
#6 recruiting class in 2012
#13 recruiting class this year

I'm full Strong right now, but I wouldn't be butt hurt if Jimbo get's the job.

I can relate to that. My wife has only been in the states for about 3 years. She is just now understanding football a little.

You going to get your man. I feel certain Strong has been hired for some time. Using logic Fisher want leave. He's just now righting the State ship. Read the articles he loves Fl.

Huge difference. Fulmer wouldn't lose to at least 1 and usually 2 of those teams every year like Dumbo Fisher does. That's a fact

You're totally missing everyones point. It's not that we think we deserve a coach who has never lost and you know that. What we're saying is that we have a chance to get a really great coach not a coach who as you said "will luck into a few wins against good teams". To settle without trying for the better coaches is unnacceptable.

I've posted it numerous times. I prefer Patterson but there are a lot of coaches that are light years ahead of Dumbo. In no order besides Gary Patterson but Peterson, Shaw, Strong, Davis, Gundy, Petrino etc.
