Its very hard to dominate the ACC when you have Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Georgia Tech to stop you. You act like Florida St is playing in the Sun Belt.

Nope. Hart was already at Bama. Forcing Bobby out was the President and some members of the Board of Trustees.

You're absolutely right, and Dave Hart was involved with getting rid of Jeff Bowden. Bobby Bowden chose Jimbo Fisher because he came so highly recommended from Terry because he coached for Terry for 10 years, so the Bowdens had known Jimbo since 1988.

Jimbo was the OC at LSU from 2000 to 2006. In 2001 LSU beat us in the SECC game and in 2004 won the BCS Championship game against the Sooners. He's working on a 29-9 record with Florida St.

One thing that is accurate is that Fisher is a Saban clone. The difference is that he smiles while he spews coach-speak. Total lock down of all assistants and information about the team and practices. The press hates it, but he's given a pretty long leash as long as he keeps showing progress.

Im betting your wrong. He beats FL this year. UF should have lost to UL Laf 2 weeks ago and struggled with Jax St this past wknd. They will beat the brakes off UF.And Zero chance we hire Franklin..ZERO

Hell of a recruiter and has done a pretty good job maintaining and even somewhat restoring FSU's reputation.

Haven't read all of this, sorry if this point has been made, but when the Maryland news broke thsi weekend, I really started to think there's a chance for Fisher. The ACC is on it's last-legs, and this really might be a good time to jump to the SEC for a coach wanting to compete with the best.

Yes, I think that was the tipping point for Jimbo. If he beats the gaytas Saturday and still gets left out of the NC game due to the weak ACC, I think he may choose to move along. Plus there are some other behind the scenes issues there at the clown college.

I think it will be fisher or stoops.I would be happy with either one.For some reason im thinking stoops and have been for a couple weeks.

Every Vol fan should send an email or make a call to the AD and demand thast we don't hire a guy who struggles in the ACC with great talent.

Yes he's better than Dooley but so is a dsamned fence post and I don't want a fence post either.

Getting the talent is what Jimbo can do, coaching it up is a different story. That being said, I'll take someone who can get Top 5 talent, while being in the ACC, versus having someone who can't get Top 20 talent, and never won anything in the SEC. I do think that being in Florida helps him recruit, but he's landing guys from different states as well. I'll take Jimbo, if it comes down to it.
