Clausen committed to Notre Dame yesterday - good now we can finally move on. Losing Clausen is no big deal because I have serious doubts that he could beat out Jonathan Crompton. In the long run of things, Clausen is a much hyped hs QB who may or may not be as good as hyped. However, Clausen could have caused Tennessee more problems than he's worth. In the mean time the Vols have 3 good QBs to work with and from what I've heard can land another one if they offer the big hs QB from Chattanooga. So everyone needs to chill on J. Clausen and move on to something else.

I may be the only one who feels the way I do, but I am SICK up to the very tip top of my ears hearing all this crap about Jimmy Clausen.

Last I heard, Chris Simms didn't set the world on fire at Longhorn Phew and we all know that Leak has yet to live up to the glorified hype that has surrounded every step he has taken in the last five years.

I know that every year 18 year olds hold every coach in America hostage, but in this case I am tired of all the hype, the negativity, and the talk of how we suck because the didn't get the final member of God's triumvirate.

I am excited about the QBs we have and the one we have coming in...I am excited about the young players we have to go with our veterans...I am excited about Cut being back...and I predict that we will have a really good year.

I always liked Casey because he was such a great competitor...and I appreciate everything Rick did under unusually tough pressure...but I am personally relieved that we can put the Clausen saga to rest and move on and play Tennessee football...GO BIG BAD BUTT KICKING VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you tell how you really feel there surrealvol...JK I feel the same way as stated earlier I'm glad he has committed early so our staff can focus on others.

Can we ban the word "RACK" from our forums? Geez.

I am one of the ones that is happy that JC decided not to come here. That isn't sour grapes. I just don't think it would have been good for the chemistry of the team.

As far as the Clausens and the NFL. I didn't think Casey had the arm strength to make it and Rick just didn't have it either. Correct me if I am wrong, but I can't blame RS for them not making it to the NFL.

Oh yeah, Jimmy. Billy Idol called and wants his hair back.

First of all, I wouldn't call it a snub. It's pretty common knowledge that Casey would have gone to ND if they had offered. Given that ND is hot right now and Weis has an NFL pedigree, it's really not a surprise that the #1 QB prospect in America would decide to go there.

GaVol moved the actual thread in here. I moved in here a couple of days ago but moved it back to the Volboard once I realized that people like you would continue making new topics about it. :p
