Hart needs to establish a line of communication with Jon, right about now. Ask what it would take if the need to go in a "new direction" arose, and have him on speed dial for when it does.I just got dumber reading your post. We already have a coach who "inhibits" a run first offense. WE WON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RUNNING A PRO STYLE OFFENSE!!!!!!
Even my wife understands Spider 3 Y Banana after watching Gruden's show. ****ing pay him whatever he wants already.
No Gruden. You saw what happened last time we hired an NFL coach. No. NFL-style offenses don't work in college. They especially don't work in the SEC. No. We need someone who will inhibit a run-first offense, i.e. UF, Bama, LSU, etc. Pro-style offenses DO NOT WORK in the SEC. Period.
I'm not sure Gruden has been waiting for a job all these years to come to Tennessee. But I'd be pretty stunned if he has been waiting to coach the Browns. Why would Haslam pay Gruden to coach here at UT when he could pay him to coach for his Browns of which he is more invested into than UT?
gruden makes almost $4 mil at espn, working 1 day during the week. UT would pay him $4-5 mil for working 70 hours every week minimum. Why would he change jobs?

And anyways, only one Haslam owns the Browns.
Who would you hire if you could OB?
I really don't know who would be available. I feel like another coaching change will set us back more, but i realize if we win 6-7 games it will be inevitable. I think some will say Stoops. Not sure he would come here. People want a big name, but I honestly can't think of one who would leave a job he is currently at, that he isn't on the hot seat, and come to a job where he immediately would be on it. More than likely we will get Kirby Smart or another up and comer.
