Of course, that's a rhetorical question.

Problem is that we are at 3-1 in the 3rd year, and not far off from the plan that Hart, DD and crew put together and agreed upon, regardless of what you, I or anyone thinks about Dooley.

All this talk about wheels in motion, Gruden this, buyout paid for, etc, etc, is just message board stuff. We have 19 yr olds on here breaking news about AD stuff and making guarantees. It's a joke right now.

We are 3-1 with two of those wins against Georgia State and Akron. Come on.

The real progress won't be determined until after October.

I don't think 8 saves him given previous meltdowns.

Yeah, I said 8 minimum thinking that it would have to work out perfectly - stay very competitive in the losses and maybe beat Bama. It's not going to happen, though; I just don't see 8 wins.

Through the end of next year, barring a collapse or issues (ncaa, suspensions, fraud, whatever) that leave the AD no choice.
JG, regardless of the ky loss or fla loss, that hasn't changed.

Now, it may change dependant upon what happens over the next 2 months, but it hasn't yet.

Like I have always said, I'm fine with whatever happens at the end of the year, as long as it makes sense. The program is better off today than it has been in many years, and finding a coach won't be as difficult.
The absence of one Mike Hamilton improves the odds just as much as anything you have mentioned. I think the "A listers" only used him as a pawn to gain a raise the last few go a rounds. They will be talking to Ward this time instead of the Beav.

And that's my main point bro. I believe that to be 100% accurate, but could be wrong, and the season has to play out regardless.

Why not just play it out. Not sure what good it does for someone to repeat that our coach and team sucks 1000 times during the season.

Joy shared is joy doubled. Burdens shared are burdens halved.

Commitment to empty seats then. I have no inside knowledge nor claim to, I just feel like Dooley burned up his 9 lives at Ky. last year. I am sick of watching this team be reduced to irrelevance.

The KY loss hurt Dooley I agree. However, I don't see coaches like Jay and Sal leaving secure jobs to come here without some sort of guarantee of job security for more than a year.

Jay came home and Sal got a promotion. Coaches have huge egos and believe they are the missing piece to the puzzle to turn any situation around.

What has Gruden done to make everyone think he'd be an awesome College coach? Look I like the thought of Chucky, but I'm not sold on him for big time $$$$ for a college coach. Can he recruit? Does he want to put in the time and work needed to compete in the SEC at a school where you have to recruit nationwide? If UT is going to put out Saban money, IT BETTER BE A HOME RUN or we are screwed for 10 more years.

Thats a chance you take when you leave a good situation for one that seems better. Jay came home. Sal moved up to a lot more $. Im sure their contracts give them enough $ security that makes it less of an issue. Both have a good enough resume they would be fine either way.

I said it.....and you're right. But he did see firsthand the swing that hire caused at Alabubba. He knows what is at stake should we continue our relentless pursuit of continual underachievement. $$$

Everybody knows that. The problem is getting someone to take the job.

Regardless of money, tradition, and resources, Alabama was extremely lucky to get Saban.
