This just in from Forbes....UTKFHFGJG has been spied at World Market in Turkey Creek, shopping for a French coffee press, Bacon flavored coffee syrup, and a futon. He was reportedly accompanied by Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Kenny Chesney. Chesney apparently purchased a bamboo papasan chair.

I don't know what it all means, but it looks likes winning is coming back to Knoxville.

Seems reasonable....

I'm talking about $3M for his assistant coaches. He would earn $5-6M most likely.

One reason NFL coaches stay in the NFL is the NFL money. Alabama, figured out if they were going to get their man they would have to offer/compete with what the NFL. Saban, is fat and happy. If UT, goes after someone like Gruden, all it takes is money.

And we've got it

Good point, same amount of money, but one is an easier job.

If Dooley doesn't make it I want Gruden cause of the hype factor. Not to mention I think he is a good coach. But we need to out recruit bama and lsu. Gruden' s name will do that.

Gruden can just show the recruit his Super Bowl ring and the rest is history,IMO.

I don't think Bama is that much easier of a job than Tennessee for a coach of Saban's abilities. I think he could have had the same career arc here in the same amount of time with the same amount of effort.

The perception of the Bama job has been enhanced by Saban.

Outsiders now think it's really hard to win at Tennessee. That's true if we think we can just plug in a coach and hope he's a new star on the rise. With a great coach and the nation's top recruiting budget, it shouldn't be hard to win here.

I know Pete Carroll has been mentioned in other threads. He's not exactly shining in thr NFL. Have those-in-the-know heard anything about him?
