Had it not been for Monte Kiffin, Gruden wouldn't even be in the discussion right now. I honestly don't think he's a viable candidate, mainly because he's not been a college coach in so long. Dooley's replacement needs solid SEC level coordinator experience, and needs to be a relentless recruiter. If Gruden came to UT, I think he would get burnt out rather quickly. It takes a special kind of breed to coach here, mainly because the recruiting is so demanding.
First, I'm not a blogger. 2nd I'm no fan of basketball. What on earth you are ranting about?
Now, you speak of civilty yet curse at those that want a credible coach. Again, logic? We were foolish hiring Dooley. Undoing that mistake is a positive step.
I have my answers. It is up to you to find your own. Google is a great place to start.
again valid points on his pro jobs but I disagree with the comment that he cant handle the demanding part of the job
Am I the only guy in the world that saw the HBO real sports doc on Chucky.. The guy never sleeps!
What does Monte Kiffin have to do with it? Gruden would be relentless. Dude puts in work.Had it not been for Monte Kiffin, Gruden wouldn't even be in the discussion right now. It would appear to me if the powers to be wanted a Saban type coach, they would go straight to Saban and offer him a blank check. Many have said in this thread that money is not a problem for the right hire, so which is it?
Saban is a proven winner in the college ranks, the money backers at UT are smart men, if W's is what they want I am sure they would pay for it.
