Hell yea 11th Marines! I played for maintenance battalion! Same Area different battalion. We had All-Marine together. 98 year I was in 98-02 did not play in 02 because got out before season started. He left in 98. Crazy thing is we had alot of great players. Mike wasn't really crazy great. He never had played football before. Before I left espn sent cameras out recorded some after Mike rookie season. Never aired anything though.

I was in boot camp and MOS school with a former Tennessee linebacker too. Man he had some stories! Our last names almost the same so we were always together lol

Cool. Yeah, familiar with the area. Spent some time at Pendleton. Spent 20 years in the Corps. My son is in his 8th year now.

He did Two tours in Iraq with the Lava Dawgs out of Hawaii. Can't remember his MOS #. Works with computers. Never asked what exactly he does with them. Is possibly getting out on Medical this summer.

I was 0311 for several years before deciding to "swing with the wing" my last several years.

0311 man different world there man. I went in open contact. Got put 3521, had to go up there to the ridge a couple times. Different world you know that. You absolutely snap.on a jr. When you switched? Seems like that attitude with regards to rank would be different switching?

How did you feel going back to the island for graduation? I had a kid I coached go in. Not a strong family structure so I wrote him everyday and went to his graduation. It was great to go back. Changed alot but so great to see again.

Got chills. Some of my old troops were DI's (None were my sons), so I got to spend some good time reminicing too.

Switching over to Air Wing was definitly different, but was honestly just as cool, just in a different way.

Probably better get back on subject before we get the boot though.

So. To get back on subject. How about when we hold a team on 3rd down, we have 100,000 stand up and give a big ol Marine Corps Oooooooo Raaaaah!

That had to be cool biker to see them as DI's. Yea we have to get back to subject its been fun though. Like the idea. It really would throw a team off at right before the snap the whole crowd yelled the same words. Lol
