Josh Dobbs about to have the Opportunity of his NFL Career

I’m familiar with football; so much that I know they reviewed it and confirmed the call on the field.

So unless you can provide some credentials that overrides the people paid for it, other than your conspiracy theory rigged BS, then kindly ride off on the high horse you rode in on.
Did they say they confirmed it? I don’t recall hearing the official saying whether the call stood or was confirmed. It was loud in my house at the time though so maybe I missed it.

Wow was that close. I don’t get people saying it wasn’t even close. That’s as close as you can get. I haven’t read the NFL rule on this but does anyone know if it specifies that the hand must be coming forward or the arm? If it’s the arm that should be an incomplete pass as his arm had started coming forward at the elbow. If it’s the hand maybe that’s a fumble. That’s my take on it but there are a bunch of different opinions on it because it’s close and I believe a call of an incomplete pass on the field also would have stood.

It’s the arm. Which includes the elbow. It’s clearly going forward.

The more I watch it the more I think it should’ve been incomplete. I hate it for Dobbs but I’m not a Titans fan so my only interest is that’s it’s a huge call that affects who’s going to the playoffs.

Edit: Speaking of…what an epic collapse by the Titans. I’ve never seen a likely playoff team go down that hard the last half of a season. Unreal.

I only asked because I’ve heard people talk about the empty hand rule so I wasn’t sure which part is specified in the rules. Maybe I’ll look later but I figured someone on here likely already knows. I guess it’s you.

Offensive play calling by the Titans is ridiculous. I know Josh made a bad throw and decision, but damn, do something besides running Henry into a loaded line
Totally agree the play calling was pathetic. Even Ray Charles could see what was coming up each play for TN ( give the ball off to Henry ). I get it that they have injuries on the OL, but try to play to your strengths. Mix it up . What the heck do they do in practice all week ?

Man I got so tired of handing it off to Henry on first down with the Jags loading the box. A little different play calling would make Henry so much more effective!

I hate that he lost…especially that way…but here’s the way I look at it…IMO he was on his way out of the league…making 90K a year on a practice squad is not something a player is going to do for long…with the last two games I believe he has played his way into a solid backup QB role for the next several years…I see 3-5 years of him making 1-3 million a year…even if it’s just one more year at the league minimum that’s substantially more than he would make even as an engineer…long story short, dude made himself money

Yes, every series it was 1. Hand off to Henry, 2. Try a short pass, 3. Dobbs scrambling for his life.

And Henry kept stopping in traffic and tried to adjust his route, which cost him yardage. If he had just powered ahead, he would have picked up more yardage on several of those runs.

Last night was Fisher Ball kicked up two notches. Titans offense line is so bad. Time to do a full rebuild and this won’t be popular but I’d see what trade value Henry has while he can still walk without a walker.

He could probably be making 6 figures as a lead engineer and working his way into a cushy high stress management role right now and not be getting his head beat in. Eventually, he would probably be promoted to vice president of fill in the blank corporation or space program.

After watching the video, that was a forward pass.

That was absolutely sick knowing Henry would take the handoff. Late in the 4th qtr I couldn't believe the announcers when they said it was a hand-off on first down all but 3 times in the entire game.

I admit the Dobbs made a couple of hurtful mistakes, but the coaching the past several games for the Titans stinks. May be time to move on from Vrabel (spelling?).

Hopefully, Dobbs has proven himself a very capable backup at minimum.

Regardless of head coach, it has been the same offensive philosophy, for 26 years now.

90k a year? Where you getting that? Dobbs entry level contract with Pittsburg was 4 years, $2,999,124 with $599,124 guaranteed at signing. Then in 2021, he signed a 1 year $1,040,000 with Pittsburgh. He signed a contract with the browns in 22 with a base salary over a million dollars. Far cry from 90k a year and on the way out 😂
Dobbs is a really good backup level qb, he’ll be in the league for a while if he chooses to do so. And he’ll make really good money doing it without taking all the damage. Take a look at his career earnings:

I feel sick this morning for Astro.

Even with no offensive line, they hung in there with them until the end.

Lawrence was tight, and didn't play particularly well.

In the NFL, it oftentimes comes down to just 2-3 small things.
I agree. Also, I felt the receiver should have caught the pass in the end zone that was dropped . Good coverage, but he could have held on I feel.

Would hate for Henry to go....But if they are going to do it they better do it. He is heading towards 30 and he has been rode hard. Since his ankle injury he's lost a step or two. This season I saw him run down a few times when that wouldn't have never happened before. I hope the Titans keep him.

Give Dobbs some credit.

Titans line is decimated due to injury. Defensive backfield is atrocious.

The Fat Woman sang the Blues last night. You can't have 177 to 180 player changes in two Seasons and expect to be an above .500 football team.

Losing AJ and the Robinson firing just added fuel to the fire. Offensive Coordinator DUI.

Vrabel is in coaching hell at the moment dealing with this. So he should not be fired. The only thing I question about Vrabel is the injuries as to what is going on with them. So many injuries which is part of the game but the past two seasons it has become a common denominator for this team..
