RC Johnson should be taken out by the memphis boosters and tortured...then they should fire him

Kellogg said no to RC Johnson. Tony Barbee really wanted it but Memphis wasn't going to offer it to him.

DK was not a) going to screw Tony after he cleared the way for D at UMASS and b) have his first big time job be one where RC Johnson is his boss.

Name the truly elite players he's actually recruited. He's one of these guys who gets a bunch of "name" recruits who turn out to be stiffs. His ability to evaluate talent is highly suspect.

Good point. Do you think this hire will help keep henry or cousins at memphis?

I am not sure I can remember a scenario where a coach leaving a program has had a bigger impact on the program.

Gary Parrish said Henry and Dennis are "possible" but it is up in the air. Pastner does have a coaching staff to build and he can basically hire anyone that might be in with recruits, though that is not a very long term thought.

It's not a wow hire, but I like Josh and the hire. We will see how this works out.
