I've watched alot of tape on Adonis Thomas and I will give you that one. That kid is not a 2nd tier guy. He should be a great player. But you can't possibly compare the SEC and C-USA right now. Pastner is a likeable and personable guy. But he is def. not someone I would like in Knoxville to motivate kids to play at a High Level.
Don't really see the point. Calipari has been able to make better teams with a bunch of freshman. Memphis basically had the best class last year if you take out Kanter from Kentucky's
class

He kicked off his best player like 10 games into the season, I can see that having some ramifications. Calipari is getting the best player at each position, so although Pasnter's class was great it wasn't equivalent to UK's. Finally, some of the same knocks on Pastner's team could be attached to this UK team as well, i.e. bad losses. I just don't see someone who's learned at the hand of Lute Olson and Cal for a decade being a bad coach. For goodness sakes the guy has coached for TWO years! How many people start off their career with a 49-20 record? I consider that pretty impressive, especially given the bare cupboard he was left with last year and the youthfulness of this year's team.
It's funny how that happens when you make your conference's worst teams play the worst basketball teams in the country.
And has a CUSA team won a postseason game this year?
Do what? The guy said Memphis has beaten 9 SEC teams in the last decade and the other three they haven't played. Of those three, UF is the only one who's relevant. Therefore, Memphis has beaten almost all of the SEC's best teams (UK, UT, MSU, ARK).
4 of those 49 wins were against a team with a top 50 RPI. All 4 of those games were against UAB.
CUSA was # 8 rated conf this season. SEC was # 6 or 7. Not much difference
Memphis has beaten 9 of the 12 SEC teams in the last 10 years. The only 3 we havent beaten are the teams we havent played (AUB, FLA, UGA)
