I for one am glad that our representatives are tackling the really tough issues...
I'm all for them working on stuff that doesn't cost me any more money. They've yet to show any intelligence when tackling the tough issues anyway

There are some really good stories out there. I swear I read one that went back behind enemy lines and pulled the same stunt multiple times. I was thinking that was this one but the details were different so I am guessing there is another.

If this is your thing and you haven't read Stealing the General, drop everything and do it.

I think from my perspective historically it has been because Old Republicans were always touting this sense of morality, elitism and we’re the party of family values, this and that, and then someone gets popped having an affair or whatever else you could think of . Right now the Left seem to think they occupy some moral high ground where they constantly judge everyone based on their inclusiveness or how they treat a minority or someone within the LGBTQ community, basically everyone is categorized, but they never hold anyone accountable that breaks their made up rules. Northam, Cuomo, Lightfoot, Biden… it’s a long list of things that have occurred, that if it were a Republican they would be destroyed. I don’t think it’s a level playing field right now. I never meant to insinuate that Republicans are above it, or anyone for that matter, but that to me the Left is very hypocritical right now.

Yeah, they are hypocritical about different things and often the same things. I mean, as far as I can tell, they started cancel culture and they're still in on it. We had a guy on here saying he wanted the whole Disney corporation to go down because of the Gina Carano situation, in light of the fact that Disney was trying to mend fences and bring her back. And there we were, me and a bunch of Republicans who claim to despise cancel culture, and I'm the only one calling him out for it. Weird, right? My parents are boycotting Fox News right now because they no longer pass the Trump purity test. It's pervasive on the right.

Yeah, movies about slavery don't make as much money as movies about "fambly". It's a great story, but the release of it in today's climate would be viewed as pandering to the woke mob.
It has been suggested by others that diversity in professions is a positive because it helps elevate the thinking of the potential to other minority groups when they see someone like them excelling.
There are some very wealthy and connected black media figures. I am kind of surprised some of them haven't pooled their resources, connections, and talent to produce movies about people like Robert Smalls. I believe it would elevate the thinking of the potential one has within themselves just like diversity measures; perhaps even more so. I also think movies like these would have mass appeal way beyond race.

Exactly. I wonder what the next stupid day off that will get created. Hopefully this one will be combined with MLK's birthday the same way George and Abe's birthdays were.

Sooner or later the alphabet people are going to want a national holiday. then the women, then the Latinos, then the Mooslems, then the Asians, so on and so forth.

Jesus Christ. You guys are so obsessed with race and opposing the "woke mob" we can't even welcome good things that have almost nothing to do with wokeness.

Opposing the woke mob/cultural marxism is necessary. Maybe I'm wrong about this particular point regarding the passage of the holiday, but this woke revolution should absolutely be taken seriously.

Trump is just one guy and I think you saw more Republicans jump ship than you do Democrats when something ever comes to light about racism or Covid coverups and sexual misconduct, and that’s just Cuomo. There’s a list of things constantly excused or swept under the rug that if a republican ever did they would be burned at the stake for.
Apparently paying underage girls for sex isn't one of them.

And I think opposing anything resembling an association with them is a bad strategy, if you're trying to win the war of ideas or find a common ground.
