Majority not always the loudest.

There are more left leaners trickling back in, finally. For a while the place was an islam/gay/minority hating piñata.

Glad to see the inmates running the asylum less and less.

Just as I've been trying to limit the time I spent in the politics forum.

Now and again I visit. Still generally the same people ranting and raving about the same ****.

I've wasted too much time reading this crap and knowing that nothing I say will change anyone's mind doesn't help. It's a black hole. Also, I broke my laptop.

I was honest. There are like 9 votes, how can you tell there's no honesty? One person over 100k income voted for Obama or do you believe you're the only one on VN with income over 100k?

I call BS that 4 people making over 100K voted for him on here.

It is also nobodies business what I make.

On a side note though, you once willingly gave me your income when I posed you a question. It would only be fair if you ever asked that I gave mine.

I made a reasonable assumption based on the gloating you've done around here (own own business, house in a rich neighborhood, kids in private school, pay for wife's family to receive education, and drive a Lotus). I don't care how much money you make, I don't care that you know how much money I make. What difference does it make?

I know the one difference you think it might make as to what income levels voted for McCain or Obama.

You do gloat, as a West Egg elitist. Funny thing is, nobody cares.

I am not from NY nor do I speak with Locust Valley Lockjaw or dress like Thurston Howe III. And why would anyone care? I'm just a poster on volnation.

Do I think the people who voted for Obama are idiots?

I think the people who voted for Obama feel like idiots right now.

Nah. I still feel better than I think I would of had I voted McCain.

You should have voted Hillary. The fact you voted for Obama in the primaries shows you jumped on a bandwagon and picked style over substance. If you did pick Hillary and just lost then I'm sorry. Your party is stupid. Hillary was by far the best pick out of all 3. I would have probably voted for her. the only saving grace in the entire cabinet is her. You can just see on her face every time she's speaking that she can't believe half the crap that is going on.

Well. LG, lawyer and over 40, probably over 100k and voted for Obama.

That's the obvious first.

There are also a few MDs, one or two PhDs and some young MBAs.

The surprising thing, to me, is that 24 people voted

i'd love to see a breakdown of this poll by age. i'd bet the majority of people on this site who voted for obama are under the age of 30.

I preferred Hillary, but was out of state for the primary. I would have voted for any of them over any of the Republican choices. It'll most likely be the same way in 2012 unless Paul Johnson is nominated, but that's a longshot.

I agree Hillary was the better choice. However, we haven't had a real choice in the general election in a very long while. I am on record stating all politicians are lying bastages.

I was referring more to your Nouveau Riche lack of class or tact, along with your constant flaunting of yourself, as to justify your existence to the masses.

Definitely a trait of the noveau riche, which is often why they can't get into exclusive, old school country clubs even though they might have more money than some of the long time members.

This is what it comes down to. Some forget that when faced with choosing between two, or more, evils, you still end up evil. Even Diogenes would come up empty if he took his search to D.C. Or, any government body in the land. The only constant in politics is $.
