This is what it comes down to. Some forget that when faced with choosing between two, or more, evils, you still end up evil. Even Diogenes would come up empty if he took his search to D.C. Or, any government body in the land. The only constant in politics is $.
And thank God you're here to expose issues in our educational system.
And there was no option for "Was weighing voting for McCain until he added Palin to the ticket and his whole campaign went sideways so I voted for Obama and had to hope he wouldn't suck but now I'm disappointed."
Or, "I was planning on voting Libertarian until McCain added Palin making the ticket look credibly conservative before the smear job she was hit with". I honestly cannot stand McCain and lost all trust in him with the McCain-Feingold affront to free speech.
I regret two votes in my lifetime. I voted for Bush 1 and McCain. I am still beating myself up over the McCain vote... I am not even sure the "lesser of two evils" rationale worked.

Did I just see JTrain called "left wing"?
I'd say getting elected Senator from Illinois is a wee bit more prestigious than being the Governor of Alaska, but you are correct that neither of them belong in the same zip code as the White House. If anything, you have to hand it to Obama for recognizing a political vacuum and having the good timing to jump in.What on his resume when he was running for POTUS blew Palin's resume out of the water?
