I know, which is why I hate all this mess. I sure hope this isn't something that will persist all season. I really don't want to change because it's such a hassle and I'm tired of having to figure out new tech stuff. That’ll work. Just don’t forget to cancel or mind being harassed for the rest of your life.
I love it too .... It has MLB Strike Zone, which is hard to find. My fave channel? Can't get enough of the Mystery Science Theater 3K channel. It really does complete me. LOL.Started the fubo trial and love it. It’s still way cheaper than spectrum and like in game stats and I’m getting more channels for less and has the weather channel that’s a must for my wife. Enjoying it.
My rates have suddenly went up before this fiascoI am a 16 yr Tecnician for Spectrum and I found out about this just like everyone else. This is strictly on Disney or otherwise we would have received internal communications in advance of this happening. Disney is hemorrhaging money and is trying to gouge Spectrum. Disney timed this right at the beginning of College Football to leverage it against Spectrum. I do suspect this will be resolved quickly. Or at least I hope so. Just don’t be surprised if your rates don’t suddenly go up to compensate.
Disney does have a ton of leverage here. You can swear off ever watching another ESPN broadcast again ... but that's going to be a tough thing to stick to during football season. LOL.Well I can drop Spectrum but I can’t do anything to Disney. They own ESPN and ESPN now owns the SEC. The Big Ten is laughing their buts off. You can watch all their big games on a digital antenna. Looks like they will just keep raising prices till we can’t afford to pay before anything changes. They all know how much we love football.
I get ESPN+ on my phone and just stream it from there. I can turn off the wifi if necessary and I would think it would work fine.I have a ESPN+ subscription but you have to sync up with whatever your TV provider is. I tried to just use the plus last night and it wouldn't let me until I put in the TV provider.
I think the thing that's making a lot of people upset is that Spectrum didn't give a heads up that this could happen. The mouse pulled the plug, not spectrum.
True ... but the timing of this was obviously strategic on Disney's part. They waited until moments before the kickoff of the first game of the first full weekend of major college football to do this. That's a two way street. Disney said pay us more. Spectrum decided that price was too high and their customers don't want it at that price
