Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away

He surely won't nominate Biden or Bernie, will he?

If dems weren't such a weird collection of creatures, Trump could do a "gutsy" call and nominate Biden - that would bring up a lot of really interesting prospects. Joe figuring out how to turn it down, or the dems having to change donkeys in mid-stream. And then there's the other thing - senate dems having to support Trump or explain how they could turn against ole Joe. But dems, being a collection of weird creatures, might band behind Kamala and something worse than a Biden/Harris ticket.

Never said there was prosperity. There’s always “ worse or worsening “ conditions if you don’t move forward . What has the left done for the black community at large ? Not what they promised to do , what they have ACTUALLY done .

Gave them February and stole an old white guy's birthday to give to a black icon of virtue? Don't forget the local dems, and the street renaming.

Here is the problem with your argument: You are speculating as to what Democrats might do. We don't have to do that with the Merrick Garland nomination. Garland is one of only 4 Supreme Court nominations in history, to not receive a Senate vote when they didn't withdraw their nomination (like Harriet Miers) or the nomination wasn't pulled or the nominee didn't die prior to the vote. No action was taken on a nomination for over a year. That was unprecedented.
You and I both know it's not speculation. You're trying to defend the side you've chosen to follow, but both sides are corrupt. If the Dems get the chance to repay the favor, they will, and people such as yourself who believe it wrong in this instance will defend it as turnabout is fair play. It's either wrong or it's not. Wrong doesn't depend on which side is doing it. That's called hypocrisy.

I probably did underestimate the numbers against Hillary just as I overestimated the number of reasonable repubs.
There will always be people who feel they are justified in trying to disrupt / remove a particular president.
5%, 12%, 20%, 30%, 38%, 45%, 58%, 72%, 85%.
It will also always boil down to what that percentage is.
The percent against Trump is the highest ever and justifiably so. (should tell you something)
We didn't reach the magic number that would constitute critical mass. We were close. Our country would have been much better off moving forward had we reached that point.
What we are left with is a continued effort to paint Trump as normal, and I believe what I have said from day one.......
Normalizing Trump is the worst possible thing for this county.
MAGA
How many years did the left spend trying to normalize the actions of Hillary Clinton. At least 20, maybe more.

When someone keeps calling someone a horrendously despicable human being how do we know they aren't a horrendously despicable human being.

Luther is horribly misguided but I don't think he's a bad person. Hell, he's a Vol fan so he can't be that bad. Living amongst the enemy in Georgia has just warped his mind.

:)

When you spend months trying to burn the MFer down over anything you don’t like , threatening to burn it down because one more thing you don’t like is happening kinda loses its fear factor . Sooner or later people will just say let’s do it and see what happens next . I’m about at that point .
Same old story... the boy who cried wolf.

Lol dramatic much. USA will be fine. It ebbs and flows as always

I thought the doomsday talk was bad during the Obama years but even someone like me, who absolutely detests Trump and his neophytes, is blown away by how this election has developed a narrative that screams "our lives depend on it."

Could be 5 years or it could be 95 years but this experiment is surely failing.

My sons are obviously not having children, and I'm good with that. Makes me feel better that nobody I leave behind has to face the inevitable, and I've told them that (they are both successful in what they do and the younger is 36). Tytler was most certainly correct with his quote about democracies ending when people learned they held the keys to the treasury. Republics are no different once politicians learned that giving away "free" stuff was the way to stay in office. The founding fathers screwed up in failing to recognize that a one and done type representation was needed to prevent systemic corruption.
