We seem to be putting a lot of eggs in the basket of Key’s comeback, but she still hasn’t been cleared to resume basketball activity and it’s not 100% certain she will be, and even if she does get cleared there’s no guarantee she’ll be the same player she was before the clots.

Well that’s correct. LSU beat us, we beat LSU….LSU won the big prize. Again, not sure we want to make that comparison while they have the big trophy. Not sure how that got translated to moving goalpost, but here we are.

We’re not, we lost 11 games to teams not named National Champs. We started out #5 and ended #20. That top is thin…and a great win to beat LSU, big picture we are not close to the thick of it.

Keep milking Kellie's ONE impressive win of the season, that pretty much puts the program on par with the national champs...

That is the key here. Puckett was unproductive for the entire year as everyone waited for her to exit her slump. And Darby disappeared against the better teams. There were lots and lots of wholly unproductive minutes to parcel out there. Those players are pretty much finished products, but Justine could have really benefitted from more minutes to adjust to the college game. And she is certainly not any slower than the rest of them.

If the tradeoff is an upgrade at shooting guard, which looks like the case, will you still feel that way?

Of course best case scenerio is KJH upgrades via portal and still keeps everyone. But that is just not going to happen. Ya'll are the ones screaming for better talent, more speed, etc. Can't always have your cake and eat it too.

Alot will be made clear when we see where Justine lands and how she does. Maybe we did sacrifice a hidden gem who should have been developed into an All Freshman SEC player. We'll see.

Not to pile on, but I feel like I'm watching a proud tradition slowly die. South Carolina and LSU are now the standard bearers of the SEC in women's college basketball. We've become an afterthought.
