Oh yes that was dadburn big and key. And I appreciate it emmensley. But the fact it is the one and only and therefore the one always brought up as "proof" should tell us something. I don't think you want to "hang up and listen" to the actual record against elite teams.

It's quite a stretch to try to argue that KJH record against top teams is anything but, well, dismal. IMO games like the UConn game last year, where the hype is huge but the truth is we were never competitive, is what is hurting hs recruiting so badly.

So I stand by my assessment - the LVs MUST win some of these games coming up - Fla St, ND, Indiana, OSU - to take the next step. Once is not enough.

I don't agree with negativity,,but I do agree with your last statement/assessment....
We win the games we're supposed to and that's much better than Holly ever did for us.
But the next step is to win some of the games we're not supposed to or are considered equal to.
This IS the next step for Coach Kellie for me as well.
I would expect this of any coach who coaches for this university,,,ANY COACH!

I think it counts bc it was the most recent win vs a top tier team. Damn you have to start somewhere and some of y'all who keep complaining couldn't lead a team to a win past a DIII team let alone a top 5 D1 team. Smh

I’m sorry but my main problem is this starting lineup. They LOST to FL AM before subs. Our best quarter was the 2nd and 2 of those girls didn’t even play tn. It’s more than points we need team players and let the stars do their thing

I know we are so far removed from Pat Summit and we can not compare, but in her day before noticeable illness and a game on the line, I felt comfortable in a win as she would will the team to victory
Can’t say I am at all comfortable in both the Holly or Kelly era..we just can’t get over the “hump”. Hopefully this changes during the course of 2023 and I cam come back and revisit this post.

Clock management was terrible, take the timeout and run a set play.

That fade away was a terrible decision, DRIVE to the basket…

It’s not the starting lineup, not much we can do with this roster, I told everyone when we was in the portal that we need a big Pg, no need for 3 5’5 pg’s on our roster. We have some recruits coming in, but the sad part is Rickea will be gone so that wont make a difference.

You aren’t going to get a much better player on your roster than Rickea Jackson. She hung 31 on FSU tonight, and it wasn’t enough. You can’t approach this game with a mindset that you will just trade baskets with the opposition and outscore them on the final play of the game. The roster is sufficient. The preparation is not. Defense is the game changer, and we aren’t effective at it. If Juju were here, she would get schooled on defense because it is not a priority in this coach’s system.
