This seems like an unnecessarily snobbish comment.
Both Tennessee fans and administrators alike, regard Kentucky as the most significant home game played during the regular season. I mention administrators, because whenever we are honoring either a former player or team, it is usually done during the Kentucky game. That was the case again this season with Chris Lofton. It is only natural that a Tennessee fan would be more disappointed by an ugly loss against UK than they would be in any other regular season game. It is ridiculous of you to chide Tennessee fans for attaching more importance to that game than any other ... when that is exactly what our administration does.
... and it goes even deeper than that. The performance of our team vs Kentucky was especially porous. It's not like Kentucky stepped up their game either. They shot 18-51 from the field, and still won. This was after Kentucky had just lost at home to South Carolina, of all teams. Of course, that loss is going to aggravate Tennessee fans, and it should. Our expectations have been raised during the Barnes era.
My basic point here is this :
You can't talk about the regular season home game against Kentucky as though it's just any other game. It's not.
Man.....we have to win next Saturday. I repeat, I do NOT want to get swept by this team. But of course we're playing them right after we host Alabama so they get us at the absolute best time possible.
I'm going to hate next Saturday I'm afraid.
They didn’t have Wheeler or Fredrick today. I doubt both will still be out next weekMan.....we have to win next Saturday. I repeat, I do NOT want to get swept by this team. But of course we're playing them right after we host Alabama so they get us at the absolute best time possible.

The only time this season that I have seen them play with any emotion at all was against us. For the most part, it looks like their team this season doesn't give a hydroelectric dam .... That will change again next Saturday, though.Man.....we have to win next Saturday. I repeat, I do NOT want to get swept by this team. Nobody in this thread will live to see another UT coach go 8 years without losing twice to UK.I'm not guaranteeing a win (and you clearly know more about the sport than I do), but, if we don't beat them next week or in the tournamnent, it'll be the first season since Barnes arrived that we haven't beaten Kentucky.
They need to take Kenny Payne back after he gets fired at LouisvilleThe only time this season that I have seen them play with any emotion at all was against us. Also, Calipari doesn't coach anymore. He is now at UK just to recruit. That team needs a bench coach .... desperately.
