Keystone Pipeline - a red line?

I think that has more to do with the imminent domain grabs on the land instead of a lease on the property.

I'm sure there's a lot of "issues" that prevent it from going smoothly. Wreck the habitat of an endangered mosquito or something.

Well, didn't see this one coming...

Democrats Who Oppose Keystone XL Pipeline Own Shares in Competing Companies | Washington Free Beacon

Democrats who oppose the Keystone XL pipeline have thousands of dollars invested in direct competitors to the company looking to build the pipeline, public records show.

A recent environmental assessment by the State Department was seen as a step toward the pipeline’s approval, but Sen. Tim Kaine (D., Va.) remains opposed to its construction.

The freshman Democrat has between $15,000 and $50,000 invested in Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, according to his most recent financial disclosure. Kinder Morgan is looking to build a pipeline that would directly compete with Keystone.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

It would be nice if Obama and crew would simply be honest with the country and say "Look, governing is inconvenient between now and November. Everything that requires tough decisions or difficult enforcement is on hold until then. We're gonna talk war on women, we're gonna talk race, we're gonna talk Koch brothers, but we're done governing for the next 6 1/12 months."

Pretty much what they've been doing for 5 years.

More of that evil money in politics

One such environmentalist, California billionaire Tom Steyer, has been vowing to back vulnerable Democrats with big money if they oppose the pipeline.
