I’ve already made my statement. He chokes every year with the most talent in the county. I don’t know how I can explain it to you any clearer
Explain who he’s choked to that has cost him anything? No loss he’s had, outside of UF last year, has kept him from winning a title. Saban has gone undefeated 2x in his entire career, so I guess he’s choked at least once every year too despite having the most talent. His kryptonite is Saban and there’s no talent discrepancy between the two.

Same results as Mark Richt not counting a playoff run.

First 6 years:

Richt- 61-17 34-14 in conference. Won back to back East titles in 2002-2003. Another SECE title in 2005. 2 SEC titles. 4-2 in bolw games. No Nick Saban at Bama.

Smart- 64-15. 40-9 in conference. Went 8-0 in SEC play this year. Richt never did that. 3 straight SECE titles (something Richt never did). 1 SEC title. As of now 4-1 in bowl games. Already played for a NC. Has had to deal with Nick Saban at Bama.

Stats prove you wrong.

They’re the exact same man come on. Stats and logic are meaningless; 2021 is all about the feels.

Tennessee was still good when Richt got to Georgia and he had Spurrier for a year at Florida and then Urban for 2 more of those years then he had to deal with Spurrier making South Carolina a top 5 team. The East has been a joke in the Kirby era from a talent and coaching standpoint. Not remotely comparable. Auburn was also much better when Richt was there vs what Kirby has had to deal with as their permanent west opponent.

Georgia has been this piece or that piece away for years. Death, taxes and Georgia choking to a less talented team.!
Really dude? You think that Bama team ain't talented? Their front seven is every bit as talented as any team in the land. An elite, I mean ELITE Heisman leading QB, and at least one, maybe two first round WRs (after sending two first rounders last year). But the Tide is less talented? Mmmmm-ok.

Georgia is just a stud QB away…and Kirby has recruited several but it just hasn’t worked out the last two years. I like the Bennent kid - super heart and hustle - but they need an elite QB to go with the rest of that roster.
He had Justin Fields and chose Jake Fromm over him. Just saying

I don’t remember anyone saying they were generational during the season.

Yet that’s all we heard about Georgia.

Let me preface this by saying f*** UGA, they could lose every game and it wouldn't bother me one bit.

Now, in an attempt to be logical, I have a question.

What unbiased person with any sense at all, believes losing to a Saban coached Bama team is a choke job?

A bad Florida team, an A&M team that finished 8-4, an LSU team that finished 6-6, an Arkansas team that finished 8-4, and an Auburn team that finished 6-6 all found ways to give this Alabama team a game. So people figured that a UGA team with a "generational defense" might find a way to beat them. And they were favored by a TD.

Most of the football world. Fortunately we aren't on the bad side of it like we were in 1995-1997 when all we heard was that we choked to Florida even though they had Spurrier and a huge amount of talent.

Lot of nice stats in that post, but I missed an actual answer to the question I asked. Play again anytime.....

Georgia is the most talented team in the country. But Saban is still Saban. He will find your weakness and force you into playing that way to win.
Exactly - UGA secondary is their weakness, so Bama throws for 421 yds. Also, the Bama OL has a complete turnaround after their lackluster performance against Auburn.

Uh...the stats cited are why many think it is a choke job. This wasn't thought to be one of Saban's best teams, and it was thought to absolutely be Kirby's best team.

This!!!! Like I told someone earlier he is stuck in the qb game manager mode....Saban was until he was like this is not going to get me wins.....I think McCarron was his last game manager at QB since then he has had a QB who has been able to use his legs to extend plays if need be and a difference maker.....Kirby has no idea what he is doing with the QB on offense

"Most of the football world" ? Sorry, but I'm going to have to place that in the "your opinion and not fact" category.

As far as UT "choking" to Flarduh and Spurrier in the 90s, that might more accurately be described as us getting our ass beat by an arguably equally talented team coached by a better coach than we had.

Yes, but 99.9 percent of the sporting world simply said we/Peyton choked. That will be the narrative about Georgia. I've already seen articles saying that about them.

Kirby hires boring OCs that won’t outshine his defenses. Tell me I’m wrong….

Starting Stetson Bennett is a 1000x dumber decision than starting Fromm over Fields. Fromm was at least a competent passer who had led a team to within a play of the national title game the previous season, and Fields was a true freshman. It wasn't patently obvious, in my opinion, that Fields should have been starting over him.

In contrast, Stetson Bennett is a 5'11'' noodle-armed walk-on whose go-to throw is an underthrown back shoulder fade that draws a PI call. It was totally obvious and predictable that having him as your QB was eventually going to cost him in a big game, although UGA would have lost tonight even if JT Daniels played or if Bennett played much better. UGA was absolutely thrashed in just about every facet of the game tonight.

I'm not trying to defend the muts, all I'm saying is, it's extremely difficult for me to call a loss to any Bama team coached by the GOAT, a choke job.

That said, here's to Jawja losing their very next game and mumbling "next year", once again...

And don’t look now but the great Pickens only had 2 for 41 yards on the big stage.

Bust.
