Knoxville Restaurants

I was at my brothers house in Knoxville earlier this week and tried Hard Knox Pizza. Small pies but very good. The prosciutto & portobello was outstanding!

Knox Burgers Fountain City. This is the old We're Cookin location. I understand the original owners kept this location and sold the other stores. The food is basically the same as before as is the decor. Decent but not great. A Google reviewer stated their burgers are as good as Litton. LOL, apperantly that reviewer has never been to Litton's. :)

oh so their burgers aren't flavorless and overrated?

Gus's sign is now up and running. Inside was lit up and tvs going. Some cars outside.

If it's not currently open, it's damn close. (Their website says early Sept. No idea if they are doing a soft open and not advertising for a couple weeks or not)

Hearing that Bailey's Sports Bar closed for good today. Supposedly a legal issue drove them to bankruptcy. Hopefully another food/beverage operation moves into that spot.

Where is it located on Sutherland?

I've only been to Litton's twice, but wasn't impressed either time. For what you pay, you'd think the presentation would be a bit more impressive and the burger better than a Hardee's $6 burger.

I don't know if Litton's would make my top 10 for Knoxville burgers

I think I've tried it 3 times and every time I was underwhelmed. I think it's hot garbage, and that's being generous.

Bailey's Sports Bar and Grill in west Knox has shut down. Kinda sad. I had some good times there and even met Albert Haynesworth over a game of pool.

Bailey's was ok but the cost to play pool was crazy imo. These days it seems difficult to just go somewhere to play a game of pool with friends.

The last burger I got from Litton's was a decent sized patty but otherwise virtually unseasoned, I was not impressed. The best thing Litton's does is dessert. Strawberry cake FTW!

Again? This has been done sooooo many times
Guess I missed all those other times! The point of my original post which somehow morphed into a Litton debate was, Knox Burgers are pretty crappy. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I had looked at Knox Burgers but I'm in no hurry now. Thanks for the review. I'll try it myself at some point, but prob not next.

Might hit up the new burger joint on Sutherland tomorrow.

Bad Daddy's Burger Bar is pretty good. It's in Turkey Creek across from the Publix.
