Huh? Aubrey's is 10 times better than O'Charleys.

Honestly, every time I've been there, nothing on the menu looks terribly exciting to me. It's better than O'Chucks, but they've needed a revamping of their offerings for years. The one in Farragut recently closed. It was about the first big restaurant in the area that I remember.

They try to be Connor's or The Chop House, when really it's pretty much like O'Charley's. I've had the food 4 times, and I can pretty much get the same thing at O'Charley's. Nothing special, but that's just my opinion.

If you want really good food, then spring for Connor's or The Chop House instead.

So you are saying it's similar to O'Charley's as far as menu options? Well, I cant really disagree with that, but I think Aubreys food is still much better. The chicken tenders at Aubreys are delicious.

I agree about Aubrey's being on a higher level. We've gotten some bad meals at O'Charley's. I'll eat the hell out of some butter rolls from O'Charley's but you can't just be a mediocre restaurant that makes good rolls.

That's what happened to Quincy's.

Gus' just opened by my house and thought I'd check it out today.

It's legit. Good ole' country cooking.

3 piece plate with beans and slaw for $10. Well worth it.

Just stopped at Rockys Jamaican sunrise in maryville on the way home today. You Can't miss the place just look for a small building with a paint of bob Marley. Pulled pork sandwich with their sweet BBQ sauce is the bomb. Mac n cheese was good too.

I trust this place has a legit jerk chicken dish?

I felt my presence was needed. I'm not the poster you need, but the poster you deserve, Mr Cornholio.

I need TP for my bunghole

"Go hard and deep."

My sister and I got a Southern Charm Burger from Red Robin last night. It's a Black Angus patty glazed with brown sugar and topped with candied bacon, honey BBQ sauce, sharp Cheddar, caramelized onions and mayo on a toasted ciabatta bun. We both got it without the BBQ sauce and cooked medium. Although fairly pricey at $13.99 it was an excellent burger. I'd recommend giving it a try and I think cooking it only to medium is key.

I'm not much of a fan of steak fries but their garlic herb fries were pretty tasty. Their french onion soup is on point as well.

have they finally started doing temps instead of pink/no pink?

Random question:

Does anyone know why Krispy Kreme in Farragut closed after only being open for 3 years?

I don't know but I don't like it being gone. Went there occasionally and was never unhappy, also never the only one there. Seemed to be doing ok to me.

Went to East Japanese Restaurant tonight near Campbell Station. Food is legit Japanese, made me miss Japan big time. Service is really not good though, but it is almost comical so if you go in knowing what to expect it is kind of fun in a soup nazi kind of way.

Read the reviews first and the consensus is the service is outright unfriendly but the food makes it worth it if you want actual Japanese cooking and not some hibachi place.

Yeah, service is "different." There's a weird chick that works a lot and does a fine job, just a little odd. I like the food a lot, though. Yoshi does a good job with (what I'm told is authentic) Japanese-style sushi.

Honestly, I prefer the trendy, eclectic American version of sushi, but I love their other Japanese fare.

That may have been our girl. Just very cold service. I was expecting it so not bothered by it. The orders were correct and the food is on point. Best Japanese food I have had outside of Japan.

Honestly, the food is somewhere between a Japanese 7-11 and a street vendor in quality. That is not an insult by any means though! Their quickie mart fare is not the same as our Ken-Jo market offerings by any stretch.

Will definitely be back for more dour service and excellent eats.

I actually ended up tailgating right next to chef Tim Love from Lonesome Dove last week. Great guy, and he was grilling some good eats. A true VFL, and I would encourage anyone looking for a great meal to hit up his restaurant in the old Patrick Sullivan's building in the Old City.

Tried the new Gus's Fried Chicken on Sutherland. Not sure who the interior designer is but apparently they were short on $$$ and hit up the salvation Army Store.

Food was good, not out of this world. $28.50 for two, 2 piece dinners and bottled water served on a Styrofoam plate.
I think I'll pass next time.

They must have raised prices. I have eaten at Little Rock location multiple times and I always get 2 piece plate with wing and breast and a drink for about $10. Plus they give you a Gus's plastic cup.

If I'm going to a fried chicken joint I'm not really going for decor and flatware. I don't know how you got to 28.50 with the 2 peice plates being 7 dollars with tax and drinks are 2.90. Maybe the put the order in wrong
