Awesome
Glad you enjoyed it, would love to buy the two of you dinner when I'm back in Knoxville

Many thanks! Keep up the great work, the menu is very good. I was very happy with the freshness and flavor, she loved the sweet potato fries. A beer, appetizer, house salad and two entrees was around $50 bucks out the door. That's a hell of a value.

If we find ourselves back in that neighborhood, we will eat there without a hesitation.

Another crappy dinner at Cracker Barrel. We end up at one of these every 6 weeks or so. We know better, dang it.

I will never go back. Bad service and bad food every 3 out 4 times I go there. 3 months ago was my last time. It is really sad I use to get consistently good meals there but I will not waste my money anymore.

Which one did you guys go to out of curiosity?

Our last adventure was at East Town mall area. However I find the same experience at most of their locations.

Of course you have to wait in line to get in the place. It's my belief people have forgotten what real home-style food is.
Very little seasoning, luke warm food. Luke warm coffee.
White biscuits that are luke warm served with frozen butter. Food over cooked. I could go on...........

any of them - I travel quite a bit and CB was very reliable, but now over all quality is way down.

Not to long ago I walked out of one in Little Rock, AR because every table they tried to seat us at was filthy and the hostess acted as if I was crazy because I really did not want my wife or me to sit in jelly that was spread all over the chairs or sit at a table with gravy on the edges of the table. She did not even offer to try to clean it.
Also one table had biscuits laying under them that had been stepped on.

I don't remember ever having bad service at Cracker Barrel. I have always thought the food was good too. I get breakfast most of the time though.

The most I've seen at Cracker Barrel is sometimes slow service which results in glasses running empty. I got a scrambled egg once that had something gritty in it. The CB at Campbell Station seems to be better quality than Cedar Bluff. Often less packed too.

For breakfast we'll hit Pete's or Rankins
Or just fix it ourselves. I really don't know of many places that have good homestyle breakfast. Lisa's in Jeff City is pretty good as well.

The Egg and I and First Watch are both really good.

There are people in this world that don't like Cracker Barrel??

My hatred for Cracker Barrel stems from an experience where I wanted to get back to Knoxville the day following the Kentucky Derby while the driver of the other car was insistent on all of us going to Cracker Barrel at 12:15 on a Sunday, cause that's such a good idea and won't at all take entirely too long.

So you really hate that persons decision and not so much the actual Cracker Barrel. You should go visit one and create a new memory. Plus you can play the peg game while you are there. Lol

I was angry that day and vow to remain angry on principle forever. Besides, I'd rather do brunch somewhere I can have a drink
