Knoxville Restaurants

I agree that it's a little on the steep side, but none of the six guys in my party were disappointed at all. I love Hard Knox, too, but it's certainly different. I would rank them 1a/1b, with a slight edge to HK for toppings and AD for crust.

A little on the steep side? It cost my wife and I $40 dollars for two 13 inch pizzas. That's highway robbery.

My general rule is that if the cost is more than the size, you're getting ripped off.

Can't be cheap to build and ship a 1000 degree oven from Italy, though :)

True, and good for them if they're successful as you can't make money in the restaurant business without long hours and hard work.

I'd reccomend finding the Wood Oven Eats food truck one night. Just as good as HK, minus all the frills though. I know they're at Hops and Hollers on Saturdays.

Sounds interesting, I'll look them up

I'll say that KTown for pizza is fantastic. Wood-fire oven. What I really enjoy is that we do a hand-tossed dough instead of thin crust. I never jumped onto the thin crust bandwagon. It's almost like it makes wood-fire+hand tossed a novelty.

They are at Schulzbrau a lot. This Friday they are tapping the new seasonal Hellis and Wood Fired will be there serving pizzas and German fare.

Good pizzas. I seem to eat them every couple weeks if we at the same spot.

Ooooooo. Makes my decision where to go this weekend. Sounds right up my alley.

There's also a Rosati's in Cedar Bluff.

You sure you aren't confusing it with LaRosa's? I don't think there's is a 2nd location.

LaRosa's is decent and their coupons can be ok, but nothing real special about the joint.

Steffanos is great. Agree there. Pretty sure they still do a buffet on Tues/Wed around noon.

Yep, thanks. You're right. LaRosa's is Cincinnati (I believe) and Rosati's is Chicago.

Reminds me of Brixx who couldn't make it in Turkey Creek. It was too expensive for what you were getting.

I've never understood the love for Stefano's. I need to check our Rosalita's. The best pizza I've ever had has been in Chicago, so hopefully it's quality.
