Enjoyed Kitchen 919 this weekend.

I had sea bass, the wife had duck 3 ways and my MIL had chicken. All 3 were excellent, as well as the shrimp and grits app we shared. I wasn’t much impressed with dessert, but I’m not a dessert guy, so don’t mind me if it’s your thing.

Fair warning, it’s a little pricey, so if you’re cheap, can’t read a menu, or do basic math like some here, stay away.

Otherwise, the bar has some decently priced small bites I’m curious to try, along with a nice craft cocktail list.

styrofoam plates and/or tacky wall decor?

Nice to hear. I expect nothing but good things given the founding chefs. We are looking forward to trying it soon.

How much of the Orangery did they leave as it was?

The upstairs.

I’ll add that it was loud as well, but they know that and are working on it. Once the dining room filled up, everybody started trying to talk over each other. That was my only complaint.

Eff that place then. Plus they don’t have ill tempered sea bass so I’m out.

Regal Cinebarre coming to West Town Mall:
Recliner seating, order food and alcohol from your seat. We went to a theater like this in New Orleans last year. While it wasn't cheap the experience was fun and that particular theater was much smaller so it seemed more personal. Anyone remember Terrace Tap House here in Knoxville?

Went to 919 Friday. I had the filet mignon and the wife had the pork Osso Bucco. Hers was by far the more tasty but both meals were good. I didn’t like the glaze on the filet but the cut was good and cooked to perfection. The house salad had a ton of flavor and was very good as well. Overall I would rather sit at a bar table as the main dining is very loud and at times I couldn’t hear my wife sitting right across from me. Probably a once a year place if that for me. Next up, Lonsome Dove

I would say fair for the service and quality provided. Several entrees where in the 20 range if I recall. I think the filet mignon was 36 and that included the potatoes and veggies. My wife’s pork Osso Bucco was 21 with the same. House salad 7. So overall not too bad for what you get. We went ant 630 and it didn’t get mound until around 715. Place is packed out right now from what I can tell.

Oh, cool. I was afraid it was going to be much higher than Seasons, but that sounds very fair.

Lonesome Dove is a little steeper, esp c with smaller portions you get on the apps/small plates.

The new Aubrey's on Emory is pretty nice. Girlfriend and I shared the Hawaiian ribeye with the parmesan spinach and squash sides. No appetizer, but the bread is really good.

The Hawaiin ribeye is one of my faves and the squash is buttery and addictive. Their seasoned fries are on point as well.

SO has anyone been to the Bourbon Bird? Drove past it today and thought about it. Place was dead.

Late edit: it may not be open yet. I thought it opened Jan 1.

I'll try it when it opens. Looks good. And they are going to have some old arcade machines in there.
