Cheddars is trying beat out Chili's and Applebees as having the worst food... They are serious about winning

He asked about "onion rings", they have good rings. That's all I was talking about. They do have one of my favorite fish tacos though. All the other choices I can't speak to.

Pizza palace

Screw the Pizza Palace! I just about never have cash on me and they don't take cards. At least Sam and Andy's is smart enough to put an ATM right at their front door.

Cheddars spin dip is off the chain

HOW is it Pizza Palace fault that you can’t remember to bring cash to a cash only place. Especially when you know ahead of time

I will never understand the cult following of those onion rings. We had some friends tell us they went there to try the onion rings and they were awful. We looked up reviews and thought “But everyone loves them. Our friend has to be wrong, let’s go try them.”

We tried them and our friend was 100% correct, worst onion rings I’ve ever had.

I lime them but I’m not really a fan of onion rings.

Original Louis and Cheddar's both are good.

Many eons ago some of the best rings in town could be found at Shoney's Big Boy Restaurants.
I used to be a lot younger as well.:)

Agree about Shoney's rings back in the day (early 80s) and I'd throw the Lenoir City DQ's rings from that time frame in there as well.

The onion rings at Applebee's aren't bad, actually. Not that I would ever encourage anyone to visit an Applebee's.

I really like the rings at Farm Burger should they ever make it into the Knoxville market.

That’s pretty stupid to not accept cards. 90% of people don’t carry cash these days, so someone stopping in to try for the first time is going to leave and go elsewhere rather than run to an ATM. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard in 2018.

I’ve seen it suggested before that they don’t because it’s easier to fudge the numbers on reported income. It really doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint.

My guess is that they just don't like the idea that some of the money they bring in their doors goes to paying a company just to make payments work. I could see them saying screw that, you come in here with cash. Then there's no wasted funds.

That may be true, or the owners are just stupid. This is a cashless society anymore. $200 in cash will last me several months.
BTW did anyone notice where the $ is?

Get with modern times or lose business plain and simple. Like I said even Sam and Andy's was smart enough to put an atm by their front door. The Pizza Palace ought to do the same thing if they want to continue to take cash only. For a place that's in the ghetto I'm surprised they haven't been robbed because they take cash only.

Big Eds used to try that. They’d only take cash or check until about 4 years ago. I’m like are you serious?! A check?!?
