Knoxville Restaurants

We're getting our first Popeyes down here in Myrtle in about a month or so. Beyond stoked for it.

I'm really biased as my first ever experience was in New Orleans almost 20 Years ago I'll never forget. It's by far my favorite fast food fried chicken.

Apparently there is one on Clinton Hwy, I didn't know that as I'm hardly ever on Clinton Hwy.

Raising Cane's is the chicken place I tried most recently out of New Orleans. It was pretty darn good honestly. I don't get the piece of white bread they put in with your BREADED chicken and FRIES though. I don't need extra piece of buttery bread with my already overloaded carb meal. I can't speak for the alleged Raising Cane's on Cumberland Ave though as I've not been to that one.

The one on Cumberland is fine, but it's crawling with students because it operates with meal plans for students. As for the bread, every one of those chicken tender places puts a slice of bread in their meals. Canes, Zaxbys, and Sawyers before them all had meals of tenders, fries, slaw, and a slice of bread with a similar sauce.

Southern BBQ has been known to be served with a slice of white bread but not fried chicken tenders. I think somewhere along the way somebody got confused about some southern tradition.

You do know you they do not force you to eat the white bread.

I haven't been there myself but I think bigdaddy needs to try S&B again and he should order some alcohol.

Someone posted Fuddruckers was better a while back.

Had a surprisingly good burger at Hurricane's Grill and Wings on Lovell sometime back. Ordered it with the mesquite seasoning and it came out medium rare to medium. I was surprised to get a burger that was that good from there honestly.

I have never been there.

Well I've officially had enough horrible experiences with management at the Turkey Creek Buffalo Wild Wings that I won't be going back until management is changed. The corporate office will be brought in the loop tomorrow. Pretty ridiculous.

For about half a year, we had a wonderful server every week during Trivia. She knew that, on the dessert nachos, I hated the cheesecake bites being fried. The week I told her, she explained that the managers and servers all generally have one or two if they want, right out of the freezer. As such, she explained that it was more just like having regular cheesecake, which I'd enjoy. So when we ordered nachos, she'd just grab a small ramekin and grab 3 or 4 from the freezer and give them to me, so I could enjoy the dessert like everyone else at the table.

Anyway, she just left the company because of graduation and a real job, so we had a new server the last few weeks. Last week, I asked for them to not fry any of the bites and just put them on the side and the manager came out telling me that they wouldn't do it. He dug into how I used to get them, talked about that being the same way that he ate them (admitting to grabbing some and eating them on his own), then refused to let me have them how I wanted them and had them get microwaved before sending them out to the table (something we hadn't even discussed).

So this week, we were told before ordering them (from the same server as last week) that they were going to refuse to do them the way I wanted again. It upset me to the point that I was considering a course of action (GM, district manager, twitter, etc), and the same manager from last week told me to go and get on twitter because it would just get our old server into legal trouble. Dude went straight to blackmailing a former employee.

Done. Sorry just had to get that off my chest before I call corporate in the morning.

I'm probably gonna go in, pay for like 15 $4 orders of bites and call it done, so they can't go after the server.
