KY loses 8 players--will the Vols take over the East?

1) UK had a great season. Did they accomplish the main goal? No. Still was a hell of a season.

2) UT will be the favorites if they get Selby.

3) UK will reload. Will they win 35 games? No. But they will be a factor.

4) The loss of Ogilvy is really going to hurt Vandy. They really don't have any size now.

5) UF is also going to be a factor, but who knows what they will do.

I think Ezeli could be a moster for vandy next year. They will lose alot on the offensive end by losing A.J. but I think they should be better defensively. They will probably rely on Jenkins from the outside and Taylor driving for offense. If they had a point guard in place I would say Vandy as the favorite. Yet, they don't and every team has large holes right now.

Don't sleep on Georgia. Good coach and two players that would start/get significant minutes for any team in the conference.

I agree that Georgia is a sleeper. They did much better this season than anyone thought. I also agree that they have two players who can play for anyone.

I am pretty pumped about Ogilvy leaving. Could be a good season without Selby, an awesome season with him.

While I understand your point. It kinda does mean that for the 64 in a simple way. They didn't all underachieve persay, but they lost, which could qualify as choking.

Unoriginal, I agree. But maybe there's a reason that Ky fans are so used to the "pay your players" accuasations that you have to keep coming up with new creative ways to say, "You all are a bunch of cheaters."

I went to a game at Rupp in 1999. I actually heard two fans talking about how mad they were that they had been placed on probation under Sutton. They were mad becasue the investigators has "no right to go snooping into that stuff."

The cats pay their players and threaten the refs. And herein lies the secret to their success.

uk is going to sign selby and knight,cj leslie and terrence jones 4 of the top 15 over all on rivals and all 5 star,throw in number 21 doron lamb another 5 star,and there several more top 80 players that want to play for cal, and i thought we were going to have a good shot at luke cothron but he has took ut off his list in last 3 days,so in all kentucky want be nearly as good but out of the 5 5star players they sign this year,all will play 2 to 4 years except maby they will finish 3 or 4 in sec east next year then they are going to have that talent and they will have no experience in the 2010-2011 season,and more experience and talent from this years highschool juniors, ky will be very good,our top 3 class of 5 months ago probally want be a top 10 unless we sign another very high rated 4 star or a 5 star player .come on bruce, tony jones recruit ,if all you can do is get an under acheiving 5 star guard in scotty and tobias if you dont get more 5 star talent only thing that will keep you at tennessee for 7 or 8 more years you will have to win a national tital

C'mon Bruce. Either recruit five star talent or win us a national title. Elsewise you won't see 2018 in Knoxville!

Huh? Assuming that I read this correctly, Pearl needs to either recruit OR win? I would love to win national titles and go to the final four. But as long as Pearl is winning 20 games and beating UK once a year, he will not wear out his welcome. 3 and 4 star talent is just fine--thanks much.

No way. Georgia and South Carolina are going to take the SEC East by storm next year. Tennessee and Kentucky will be fighting for fourth, behind those two teams and Vandy. :rolleyes:

Rupp got a one-year "death penalty" not long after winning 3 titles in 4 years.

The best teams UK beat all year were Tennessee and Vandy. I think it's fair to say they were never really as good as their national ranking.

I also think Bledsoe and Orton going high in the Draft has more to do with the general hype of that team than anything else.

Im thinking it's going to be a three team race next season, between TN, FL, and KY not in any order.

Patterson+Wall+Cousins=A team that is only borderline top 10 at best. Just ask Duke how tough West Virginia is.

coach Cal will no doubt buy the next great recruiting class. i just wonder if he can hold on to them for more than 2 seasons.
