'18 LA CB Brandon Davis (Tennessee signee)

I believe if you play football, you have to be on a football scholly. This prevents schools from stacking their non revenue teams with football players.

You’re correct

Would be a disservice to the baseball team to count him against them when they are already limited

Watch the kids tape....

He has great instincts, long long arms. And extremely athletic.

Plus he looks for contact vs the ball carriers.

Can see the why comparisons to honey badger, kid plays smart, and fast

Im sure the coaching staff knows what they're doing. I like how this kid hits opponents hard and has decent ball skills. We need depth at this position and if what is being said about our need at CB and how this guy won't matter with how we approach other higher ranked CBs. Then thats all I need to know. Welcome young man, lets roll!

I have no concern about the coaches' ability to evaluate talent. There is a concern of giving him a scholarship when he might go pro and waste it.

He said that he felt that he wasn't ranked very high due to not camping. He said that he didn't have time due to baseball.

I'm very relieved to hear this. I think 2019 will be our foundation class. After what this staff has accomplished in two months after a dumpster fire season, I want to see what they can do after a whole year.

2019 recruiting class is going to be fun.

Re: Davis.... curious situation here. Why accept his commitment when we're still in it with ES, ITS, TP, and OG? In this numbers game, we really going to take 3+ corners?

I would take all the above, plus Walker and another lineman. All Day!

I’m embarrassed that the kid had to post that, just to shut up people basically questioning whether he was good enough to play for us under his commitment tweet.

Exactly, they are kids some of our fans need to realize that.

Recruiting is literally high school kids

So basically he's in a position to earn millions at 18yoa or come play for the Big Orange. On top of that we have 40year olds fretting over star rankings while it's obvious that the kid didn't camp and spent his time playing in the dirt. I wish more kids pursued multiple sports, I absolutely hate that our sports world forces kids to choose, basically, in Middle School. 1st I hope he gets drafted high, and if not, I hope he comes to UT and becomes the best player in our history.

Good Luck young man!

I don’t care if he’s a walk on or full scholly. Dude is going to be a good player here. His swag shows in his hudl. Thinking he could start at nickel next year
